William Charles Eager was born in Sandusky, Sanilac, Michigan, on September 20, 1954. He died in Brown City, Sanilac, Michigan, on January 05, 1967, at the age of 12.
Additional Information: Boy, 12, Killed In Silo Unloader BROWN City -- A 12-year old boy was fatally injured Wednesday when he was caught in a double-auger silo unloader while working on his father's farm near here.
William Charles Eager, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eager, of Montgomery Road, Brown City, was pronounced dead at the scene by Assistant County Coroner Dr. D. Arthur Shimmin at 6:50 p.m. The accident occurred about 5:30 p.m., according to State Police Troopers C.W. Morr and John Hicks. It was not immediately apparent how the boy became entangled in the machinery. He was lifted 40 feet up the 60-foot silo in the accident. The boy's father shut off the machinery and scaled the silo to apply mouth-to- mouth resuscitation in an unsuccessful effort to revive him. The boy's mother called State Police. William was born Sept. 20, 1954 in Sandusky, son of Charles and Aileen Eager. He was a pupil in Brown City Community Schools. Surviving are his parents, a sister, Suzette, Brown City, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Orla Eager, Brown City, and William P. Stone, Sandusky. Remains are in Mavis Funeral Home, Sandusky. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
