Let us also address the separation of HR duties from the Treasurers office. Was it not suggested by a Board member in a not so long ago meeting to look into the cost to hire an HR firm? Where did that conversation go? Do we not think the cost of allowing someone whom specializes in HR to handle HR and save yourself the headaches? Was there any type of feasibility study done regarding that possibility? Again, ignoring the issue doesn’t make it go away.

What will this Board do to address the repeated conversations by County staff in regard to the toxic work environment? This is a recurring theme and to ignore the conversation is to be complicit in allowing it to continue. This is not the first conversation regarding this in Board meetings during public body comment.

Where are the public comments? This meeting was 4.5 hours and that include the executive closed meeting discussion. Are you purposefully suppressing what the public had to say?
