love watching your video's great way to see some beautiful snakes that are well taken care of, I don't think I could ever do anything like this but snakes are beautiful regardless of what a lot of people normally think or say about snakes.

I think we called them as we saw them here in Aus. If it is black with a red belly then it forever became known as a Red Bellied Black, Tiger, Brown snakes. Makes for easy identification for some of as lay people, I have no idea that they belonged to families of the opposite colour. I know that the Browns move quickly and have seen them move like lightening in the bush. But the footage you showed today was pretty scary with just how fast they truly do move. Thanks once again for the outstanding video. If I see an ad I will click it for sure.

Ive always thought the spotted black, red belly black, colletts etc. were definitely from the black snake family. The mulga snake is the only brown snake that's actually from the black snake family, even though it's brown in colour and nick named the king brown, and that the common, or Eastern brown, is indeed from the brown snake family.
@Snakeoutbrisbane
9 жыл бұрын
Awesome stuff! Side note, Eastern browns are in the brown snake (Pseudonaja) genus, it's the mulgas or "King Browns" that cause confusion since they're actually blacksnakes (Pseudechis), along with the Collette's, the spotted black, the red bellied black, and also the spotted and pygmy mulga. Fantastic videos as always :)

Hi there, I'm so glad that people like you cares about venomous snakes. In opposition to people who kill venomous snakes, you got my respect for your (dangerous) hobby. I think you can use a blu-ray laser to zap things. Saw a video where a guy upped the wattage it was burning letters into wood. Good use of parts if you have a scrap blu-ray burner with he diode intact, not sure how long it will last though.

If shes in a habit of laying her eggs in her water bowl you should get a small plastic shoe box and half fill it with very damp moss or something and just drill a big enough hole for her in the top , I'm sure she'll find it the perfect place to lay her eggs in the near future :)
