Im a percussionist all through highschool and i can remember hearing the winds warm up from the percussion room and it was just one of my favorite things ever man… to hear the winds warming up. sometimes i wish i played tuba or sax so i couldve played with their warm ups with them lol i was also the bass man in auxiliary… great times man

absolutely. also a percussionist, 2 years in band & my sister was in guard 4 years before me so i got to hear this often. 100% my favorite warmup, sounds beautiful & it has such nice memories tied to it.

Percussion at heart♥️ I’m still in hs it’s my junior year at a new school and decided to pick up alto sax. Always loved this warmup. At my old school our director had percussion to gently roll and cymbals crashed at one point. Brought some extra emotion it was nice

@@AndreDaughty Their is a couple extensions on some of the melodic lines. To hear the few additions listen to EWC playing Warm Up 1 and 2. But remember Ronald Sargent's brother is Lindsey Sargent. Kinda wish they would go ahead and Play warm up 2 as well but they have their own warm ups and traditions so that is just wishful thinking on my part.
