Since indeed this weekend autumn has officially begun, I thought that it’s only right to post my meanwhile completed new song, carrying the accurate title for the occasion: ‘Last Rays Of Summer’.
This piece is actually about 9 mins long in total, so in order to avoid overstaying my welcome in the rather fast paced social media world, I edited it down to a little over 6 mins for this very post. 🙂
The full length version will be available on my next album.
This piece especially features the wonderful Mariko Muranaka, whom I had met through my fellow ‘Aristocrat’ Guthrie Govan and my fellow German friend and film composer Hans Zimmer.
Both, Mariko and Guthrie are also part in Hans’ band.
My dear friend and McStine&Minnemann partner Randy McStine was so kind to deliver beautiful vocals and Mariko played amazing acoustic and electric cello parts and solos.
The bridge and the midsection (as seen in a previous video clip I had posted) are in 29/16 time signature, which I divided and feel as 7/8 + 15/16.
Hope you like the autumn vibes of this piece and thank you for watching and listening.
