I'm 40 and had this since birth. It's had no impact in my life other than a few laughs during meals.

I have this syndrome but never knew what it was called. My right eye opens wide whenever I yawn and the kids at school would make fun of me back then.

Nice summary. I was diagnosed with Marcus-Gunn as an infant (it was very prominent) and spent a lot of time in hospitals being studied for it (with no harm, I was always made comfortable and allowed to refuse planned observations or similar.) I have had two surgeries to lift the eye lid very successfully. These were of course purely cosmetic and the Marcus Gunn syndrome remains. And that is fine and who I am.

I love your videos! I have the opposite of a Marcus Gunn problem. My left eyelid elevates when I look down and move my jaw, like when I'm chewing. Or if I yawn, my left eye opens wide and the right eye closes. I've had it all my life, as I remember kids making fun of me at lunch in early elementary school. Is this an aberrant regeneration? Or just a congenital abnormality?

I don't have an answer for you, but I just wanted you to know that I have the exact same thing. And I'm so sorry you have it too, but I'm so happy I don't feel so alone in this. Because I thought I was the only one. I'm 31 and I've never met anyone else with this

Can you do a video on PSP mimics? Since PSP is thought to have no treatment aside from physical therapy, its obviously important to be 100%. Being exclusionary, Im curious whats the point of rushing to the diagnosis of PSP, given the lack of treatment and confirmation via autopsy? To avoid a wrongful death, is the doll head movement enough (presuming a "normal" MRI, no hummingbird sign etc)? How can we be sure? Lets say, for example, an elderly immunocompromised person comes in with a down gaze palsy and atypical Parkinsonism. Seem like classic PSP, so would the immune deficiency still be relevant? Looking at the NIH, reduced ceruloplasmin and hypothyroidism seem like mandatory exclusions...PSP seems so specific, aew those entities truly* capable of mimicking the down gaze with + doll sign? What makes specificities

Can you do a video discussing causes of vertical midline respecting ganglion cell complex (GCC) defects in one or both eyes? (i.e. causes of binasal GCC defects, a monocular nasal GCC defect, a nasal GCC defect in one eye & a temporal GCC defect in the other eye - causes like pituitary adenoma, meningioma, cerebrovascular accident, etc.) What would the GCC defect look like that corresponds to a junctional scotoma of traquair?

Hi, i have a spiral 🌀 that shows in both eyes every time i wake up. I look around my room and it does go away. But it happens every single time i wake up. Optometrist says my eyes look healthy and im waiting on my ophthalmologist appointment. What could it be?

Hi Green Rainbows, perhaps you should see doctors like the Opthalmologist and/or, a Neurologist, or both.I know you have an appointment set up already, thats awesome. I got a head trauma, a TBI, and have been seeing those people. And they are great at what they can do. They will be able to answer your questions for sure. Please feel ok to ask them anything you can think of, it's your eyes, your health, your life. Dont be shy 😉😃❤️ Best of Luck Green Rainbows

My child (currently 2years) has this. Asking people who has jaw winking themselves - what can I do to make it easier for my child with jaw winking? Especially in regards to other people noticing it, but also in general.

i’ve had it my whole life.. all i can remember is my parents always telling me i’m normal… and in the beginning i was bullied a lil but as i got older i got use to it and realized it made me unique.. make sure you’re child is always eating vegetables and carrots ofcourse which i didn’t listen to but it did help me.. and just help them understand this is not gonna hinder them in no way other than the fact they’ll need glasses.. the consistent affirmations helped the most… confidence will build overtime as they get older and personally i’ve learned how to coup and keep my eyes even to where ppl barely noticed… and as you get older it gets better.. but in no way shape or form did i let this hinder me through my life.. i hope this helped

I wish you the best of luck but kids are jerks. I was teased mercilessly about this in school and my father's nickname for me was Winky. At 41 years old, I still can't eat in public or chew gum

I'm 40 and it never was a big deal for me because I learned to join the laugh when people noticed. If you worry too much about it you will make your kid self-aware.
