It even says in the article that Gulab wasn’t with the SEALs “ but could hear the gunfire “ yea that would make him the one to believe instead of the guy who was there. Seriously you don’t think NEWSWEEK would offer a LOT of $$ to a guy who really needs it to “ tweak” the story? That’s what these rags do. I was an army observer and we trained with the SEALs. I was spellbound and hung on every word. Marcus is an amazing humble man and he is so right there at the end when he spoke of his wife and women in general. I thank God for bring my wife into my life - she saved my life. I am a disabled Vietnam vet. I was a door gunner on a UH-1N Huey. I don't why she puts up with me but she's done it 52 years so far.

I do a strength and conditioning camp and we have words of the week kinda like rule of thumbs I guess but sports related-ish. And every time we come to desire our coach tells us about this story. And every time it almost brings me to tears, but now watching it for the first time really moved me. Marcus is such a great person Thank You for your service Marcus you are truly a hero.

Specially never judge a person by his/her religion or where he came from because there's always a good heart inside of a man. Love people , live for people and pray for GOD !!! -I will never forget this story marcus, it inspires me more to do good things for people ... ❤ Mabuhay tayo !

Marcus, I thank you for sharing your experiences so that we all can hear what really goes on when our defense forces are engaged in combat. About all we hear about are the names of the men and women who died, and really not much national gratitude is shown. So again, thank you for your service and your heartfelt testimony.

I cannot imagine the fortitude required to become a Navy SEAL. I cannot comprehend the strength and courage of Mr. Luttrell and his teammates! My God! This verbal recounting gave me goose bumps and tears in my eyes. As gripping as the Lone Survivor depiction of this battle is, it is watered down Disney compared to Mr. Luttrell's retelling. May God bless these warriors and their families.

Best and worst job ever. It’s the best because he served his country honorably known as an American hero gets to travel and share this incredible story. It’s the worst because every single day he tells this story he relieves the worst day of his life constantly seeing what pain he was in and always sees his brothers dying over and over again. Mad respect for this man!

Watching this was absolutely more incredible than even watching the movie. The fact that he went back and fought again especially after all of that... true beast right there. And what he said about the military making jokes about each other he is absolutely right. We all still love each other and I learned that on deployment myself. We would absolutely rather die in these boots with each other than go home and die of something stupid. I wish ... I so wish I could meet him

@@oswaldcobblepot502 wow... sounds like you were there. Sounds like the horrible shakey low quality taliban video really tells the whole story. I’m sure they filmed the whole fight. It was a mess of a mission and nobody will argue it wasn’t. And of course they ran away dumbass... they all ran. You think they were jumping down cliffs and landing on rocks to engage? No they were trying to get the hell out of there. You think he ran and the other 3 stayed & fought. They all ran and fought and Marcus got incredibly lucky. You’re an embarrassment and I’d love to see you in that situation so lifeless nerds can pick apart your near death experience on the internet. This guy survived. The movie & book are about his SURVIVAL. Not about how he was the ultimate warrior who fought his way out while everyone else died. He survived an impossible situation. You would’ve taken one round and cried for your mom. Fuck off dude, go research some more shit you know nothing about.

@@oswaldcobblepot502 well considering he’s the only living eye witness from the American side I’d say his account is pretty important. And where exactly is the proof of him being found with a full load out? You probably heard that from an Afghani lol. You probably also believe that they didn’t kill any taliban because some jealous douche in the service probably said they didn’t find any bodies haha.

@@oswaldcobblepot502 you’ll believe the accounts of afghanis and American soldiers that showed up days later over Marcus. Makes a lot of sense.
