I'm from the NOLA area too. Any parade St. Aug is in, they're the highlight by far. You can hear 'em coming from blocks away and as a poster below said, when they fire in full volume it's something incredible to behold. To put it in the NOLA Y'at lingo- Them boyz is good! I was at a parade once, probably around 97, 98, where it stalled as they are wont to do from time to time as a tractor engine dies and they need to get a replacement tractor for a float. St. Aug got "stuck" on the block where my friends & I were standing & they played probably played for a good 15 to 20 minutes straight and a dance party with the whole street several rows deep, cops included, proceeded to break out. Definitely a fond Mardi Gras memory.

As a born and raised New Orleanian, I can say St. Aug's band is truly a local legend. For those who plan to come down to NOLA for Mardi Gras, it's a must to catch them during a parade. Hearing them live is absolutely chilling. Thank you Brad for showing New Orleans in the best light. These videos have really been special for me and the broader community.

3:56 big audio nerd here, there's something about marching bands recorded on regular (non music) mics that just sounds so good. the clipping and distortion adds almost like a natural compression, and sounds SO sick. for those craving more look up a few recordings of 'black and blues' at football games. k random tangent over, solid solid content brad ty ❤

Brad I love all of your videos, and this band is absolutely incredible. Marching band definitely isn't as big of a cultural phenomenon in NJ, and many aren't as dedicated as these students. That said I'm from Vernon and the Vernon Twp. High School Marching Band is a pretty popular extra curricular, and they perform competitively, not just the half-time shows. Myself and all my siblings were in it, and my youngest brother still is. If you're ever in Vernon on a weekend in the fall you should check them out.

A video drops with Brad Leone in it, I simply just watch the video. That's it. Local Legends is a good idea. There are only a handful of people that I look forward to listening to no matter what the subject is. Some just have that "it factor" where even if they are doing a live advertisement read for a brand I care nothing about, it is still entertaining (even if it is mostly due to outtakes mixed with a good editing team lol). That is hard to do. Brad is one of very few in that group for me. I'd friggin love to chill/work/learn/just chop it up with Brad. Keep it up.

Also beautiful is your respect and appreciation for being welcomed and cared for during this filming. Dealing with the panic and nervousness will be a challenge, especially because you don't have any big boss telling you what to do. But you're a smart, warm, appreciate person, and you'll find your way.
