@@banguyen2939 you can’t tell if something is for you . You have to be willing to go the extra mile also have the guts to accept if you r wrong or fail on the way. See Curie faced a lot of criticism, she struggled too but she never gave up . She also didn’t know what is for her she just found something so fascinating that she wouldn’t give that up for anything else that’s how you know. It’s about tenacity, dedication nd true love nd wonder for the subject. Every scientist fails at some point but the great ones just refuse to give up. It’s really not about how hard any subject is it mostly about whethr one has those human qualities to look beyond all the gibber jabber.

Maria Sklodowska was born in Poland and she was a Polish. Skodowska is her last name. Once Piotr Curie and Maria Sklodowska get married, her full was Maria Sklodowska-Curie. However, her polish last name is very often omitted. People, remember that the origin of Maria Sklodowska - Curie was from Poland. When she was 25 years old, she traveled to France to study her interests in science in Sorbona. She was very ambitoius, hard-working, determined, and very humble. She had been in touch with Poland and her family all the time. Even though in those times our country was torn among Russia, Austria-Hungary and Germany (123 years no independence) -Maria Sklodowska-Curie's heart loved Poland. In 1921 she visited the USA and and she received from the president of the USA W.G. Harding a gift - one gram of radium.

I think it's because Marie curie has a very nice ring to it that's easy to remember for people around the world But also she had to leave Poland and her studies within polan were underground and illegal and she wasn't able to live her life within poland which is why she was forced to leave and not come back so... Poland sure did it's darnest to not have her be anything like she turned out to be (Which if anything should be a national shame not pride, and a lesson that thankfully has been learned)
