Man the humidity caught me by surprise! It was a tough one but fun! Hope you had a good time!

Yeah, I struggled a lot due to the humidity. But I love the race - all of the sights and sounds. I'll definitely go back in the future!

Humidity really caught us all out that day. I went out in 2:01....but man did I struggle in the back half. 4:26 overall....I"ll take it in those conditions.

Congrats! Still love the race, even though it's been tough both times I've run it (the other time was right before a hurricane hit)

Nice! I was there with the Insta360 X3, the humidity was definitely difficult! Great video

I have an X3, but I couldn't figure out a good way to mount it and didn't want to hold it. Curious what you did!

@@DropD1123 I got an extremely short stick, that can extend out about 6 inches, if needed and a cage for the camera. I also used a silicone lens cap, that came with the cage. That way I could use GoPro foot mounts to keep it tight, I used a little paracord wrist strap. When I needed my camera, I just hit the quick capture mode and pulled off the lens cap, otherwise I stowed it on my vest. Worked fine, and I was able to get some of the fake drone shots by extending the stick a few times as well.

@@tictac9074 gotcha. I didn't have a vest - just a flip belt. It wasn't big enough for the X3, but the Go3 fit well and didn't bother me. I would just pull it out and hold it while recording - the stability software is pretty amazing

I definitely need to make a return visit - really love the event. But I just won the Chicago lottery this week, so I'll have to wait until 2025

Is this a good race to use for Boston qualification? I need to run 3:30 or less.

Positives: it's a pretty flat course (the only big hill is in the first 2 or 3 miles). The water stops, logistics and support are generally excellent from my experience. Your friends/family should be able to see you multiple times from miles 6-18. Negatives: it's a huge race (over 20,000 runners) and the start gets really bogged up in the first 3 miles due to a combination of the road narrowing and the aforementioned hill. The start corrals are also not assigned, so you do need to get there early so that you're towards the front. The weather can be variable (last year was really humid). I haven't BQ'd here but I did run my PR here many years ago (3:41) and there were plenty of runners who finished ahead of me. So it can be done. Regardless of your time, though, it's an awesome event to be a part of.
