Is there a reason you don't keep the person talking in the frame and keep switching back and forth? Love the show but that triggers my ocd

Ryan, this is my first viewed podcast of yours. Not that you need any strokes from some random dude on the internet but, I really like your style the thoughtful questions you ran by Jake. 💪 Subscribed.

The biggest struggle is coping with the randomness of who comes home and who doesn’t, who loses a limb and who doesn’t, and who gets their brain housing group scrambled as a result of the experience and who doesn’t. Good to hear he came home with all of his parts and is doing something useful with his time on the spinning blue ball. Semper Fi

Oh yes the wonderful Helmand province. we went there and 2009 for that damn Surge,and it was the Wild West. every night we were going out, weather permitting. sometimes two and three times a night. follow on mission after follow on. it was nuts. Camp Bastion Marines were just taking over control of the area. From the good old British boys. They had been getting their asses kicked there because they were so overconfident they brought like the minimum amount of soldiers. It ended up being the worst decision ever for the them. The marines came in and started to get control back. then we came in to help them out. Was a good time. Great show as always looks like you've switched up the office a bit or changed rooms or something. RLTW 3/75

In the interview, Jake Wood said snipers cant stay operational for long ( 1 : 13 : 33 ). Why is that, anyone can answer me? Tried to google it but couldnt find the answer.
@sarahlapointe8339

@Tordek sounds like snipers don't stay operational long because they make rank and have to move to managerial/leadership positions.
@tordek7639

@@sarahlapointe8339 Seens a valid idea what you said. I was thinking if they had some damage to the eyesight due to prolonged use of scopes, or some kind of physical problems due to staying on the same position for a long time, things like that. I had not thought about moving in the army rank, but your idea seens plausible to me! Thanks for your answer! Sheers from Brazil!

@@sarahlapointe8339 That seems a plausible explanation to me. I was thinking if it was because snipers might get some health problems, like damage to the eyesight because of the prolonged use of scopes or other things related to their job, but I didn't find solid information about it. What you said about ranking up seens one valid explanation to me, and it might be the case. Appreciated your answer, Sarah! Cheers from Brazil!
