You could make this speech today. Honestly, I asked my Dad if Mario Cuomo could be President in 1984. My father a lifelong Republican said, "Boy, there will never be President named Mario." Dad so far, is right. But we did get a guy named Barack!

I’m just trying to figure out the famous speech the lawyer mentioned tonight and Chris was like yeah who cares what he said but I’m sure he wouldn’t be happy with what’s going on today. I like Andrew and Chris and believe they come from a great man. So I wanted to hear the speech ❤️❤️. WOW WHAT A GREAT MAN NO WONDER WHY ANDREW AND CHRIS ARE GREAT. I also want to add my comments about his sons ... Andrew, leading the nation from the New York governor's chair ... and Chris, reporting from his home, describing what it's like to test positive. I like to think that were Mario Cuomo governor today, he would be doing exactly what his son is doing to day. He was a great American. It's amazing how much his sons sound like him. Close your eyes and drink it all in.

Looking back, he had a very "Bernie" rhythm in his speech and mannerisms. He wasn't as genuinely progressive as Sanders, but he reminds me of Bernie a bit in this speech.

Campaign in poetry, govern in prose. The definition of his quote here. Would've been much better candidate in 84 & 88. Certainly would've been better than 49 states to 1 in 84 and the farce of Dukakis. A post FDR liberal in the truest sense. Government is for improving the lives of citizens.
