Today we're trying out the new Nardi Riviera by Mario Noriega Designs, over the stunning Scilly islands.
The Riviera first flew in 1952 and was designed as a touring amphibious plane. Due to resource issues Nardi sold the manufacturing rights to SIAI-Marchetti after only building a handful of FN.333s themself. Even though only very few were built, there are still a few FN.333s flying today.
Being a fan of vintage and unusual aircraft designs, the Riviera immediately spoke to me, and after enjoying Marios C-22 Ventura, it was obvious I had to try it out. And I’m glad I did, it’s a very well-made aircraft, the visual model is nice, the sounds are good and the flight model is fun.
I recently bought the fantastic Isles of Scilly scenery by REALVFR and thought the Riviera would be the perfect aircraft to explore a few of the islands and a couple of the lighthouses. It’s a great scenery and I’m sure that this isn’t my last video there.
