anna ciavarella When I say model, I don't mean be a 'splitting-image' of that person. His attributes, such as his dedication, willingness to take logical-risks, team-building skills, etc. They're all admirable traits to model. You can, and should, absolutely be yourself and adopt healthier habits that people like Mark Cuban possess and that's why he is a hero; his great potential is something that many can adopt.

I believe that even someone without a college degree is just as likely to become successful (that is whatever success means to you) as someone with a college degree if they work hard and have the perseverance to not stop working for what they believe in. The system being used in many colleges/universities now is a system that takes its roots in creating future workers. Its a system that works for some, while doesn't work for others. Not everyone is cut out to own a company, work for themselves, etc. Its something that you either are born with/into or develop overtime.

Mark Cuban deserves every admiration given by so many. The reason? His integrity, intelligence and being kind, sensitive to others needs, regardless of his tremendous success. And above all honest to admitting something mentioned in this interview, about discrimination. How one feels sometimes inside about it. This was a proof to me how honest this man is. However, he is a born genius very few of us. are. I would like to use a word that sums- up all the above and more, in using one word in German( it doesn't exist in the English language) "HERZENSBILDUNG" means the education of your soul.

Brittney P and you go right to acting rude, it was just a simple comment. He's not these people trying to sell you bullshit business schemes. Brittney P one tip of his is to pay off your credit debt, if you can't figure that out before starting a business with no debt then like I said you have work to do, and things you need to condition your brain to figure out.
@HatTerry

Brittney P You don't need credit to start a business. In fact you can have the worse credit imaginable. What you need is an idea and the ability to create a product from that idea. When you have a product or at least proof of concept, search for funding. Not a loan, but funding from investors. Google 'startup funding'.

Everybody hates patents
@kdiggity11
6 жыл бұрын
I don't agree with his take on patents. I do agree with the need for reform in the Patent office, the process is too convoluted and drawn out. But to say inventions are invalid because they exist in software is nonsense. Why can some one redesign a lever and then patent it? But someone derives an algorithm to execute in an application unlike anyone else and that doesn't quality for a patent. His major problem is not with software patents, its with the issuing of software patents. No judge should have ruled adding wireless to already existing process as a patent. To qualify a patent, it has to be unique and unobvious, and that idea doesn't qualify. There needs to be some clear guidelines in the judicial process of a patent. That "idea" that was patented should have been disqualified as a patent due to natural progression.

@@ploopploopploopboop1887 Hey!, its been a long time, I understand these days that there are ways of monetizing opensource and opensource as a whole saves a great deal of time by removing redundancy, but my position then was still moreso that there will be times where copywrite should be held, and I still stand by that, just with the select few innovative solutions that you as a programmer come up with, patents guarantee your cut, so as long as the patent system is capable of distinguishing between a deserved cut through ingenuity and an undeserved cut through attempting to patent something that is inherently obvious and intuitive to the vast majority of the community then the creative endeavour stands strong, but I dont trust large corporations like microsoft not to game the patent system to screw the little guy. my ideal is that we automate everything to the point that the only question we as a consumer have is is it ethical. I.e. UBI utopia. though not for the foreseeable future and puts a great deal of faith in humanity.

@@ploopploopploopboop1887 and maybe im ignorant (im not a programmer but am studying to become one) but how do you guarantee no one sees your code?, oh and my position then was on the observation that scientists of all fields rarely get the cut they deserve for actually discovering mechanisms. scientists dont make the majority of the money from the discoveries they make, id like to see some kind of royalty system that attributes a viable share to them within reason (i.e. there is also something to be said for attributing scientific discoveries to all of humanity as opposed to just the individual, i.e. Einstein couldn't have discovered special relativity if he didnt have someone growing his food and weaving his clothes) I guess somewhere inbetween?.
