What a fabulous song, and by a great pair of musicians. Bonnie Raitt is one of the best singers around and Mark Knopfler is a fantastic and gigantic guitarist, often overlooked by the flash-and-slash type guitarists. This piece is a gem.

Maybe I'm bound to wander From one place to the next Heaven knows why But in the wild blue yonder Your star is fixed In my sky Just another bar, at a cross roads So far from home But that's alright Whenever I'm going down the dark road I don't feel alone in the night There's a place in my heart Though we're far apart May you always know? No matter how long since I saw you I keep the flame there for you Wherever I go They're looking too close up in here Pulling down the blinds But they'll let you stay a while And I'm going, in a while Now I've got leave you, brother So this round's mine Just looking at you, anyhow You can go on and have another You wouldn't, call time I'm gonna say my goodbye's now There's a place in my heart Though we're far apart May you always, know? No matter how long since I saw you I keep the flame there for you Wherever I go

Right now I am really happy, finaly I found out Bonnie Riatt's Name. I was a Kind of unlucky cause could not understand her name. Just Bonnie, thats it. The rest I could not understand . Right or wright. Today finaly found that video with her name. I like her soooo much. There is no better way to start my day. I love Mark Knopfler more than anything, but Bonnie Riatt is absolutely great. I listen Mark Knopfler on KZitem every single day, 24 hours, nonstop, all the concerts there is to see. Madison Square Garden 2019 is my favorite cause Bonnie Riatt sings with Mark Knopfler at the end. Today I am soooo happy to finally know what her name is. This one song was enough for me to realize, she is really great. She makes my day today. I thougt she is probably the same age like me ( 62 ) no, she is meanwile 73. WOW, what a great person. Hope she will stay healty a lot more years, I really hope that. Angie

Not the best, they weren't on sync, I think she was about half a beat faster towards the end of the chorus. And why is she standing holding the chord and not doing anything, seems so unnatural. Slide guitar doesn't really fit this song, but maybe he wanted to give it the same feel like the others songs in the album and bring in the guest player.
