Mark Snyder is a great sound tech, wine expert and all around great guy. And he loves to eat steak at Peter Luger in Brooklyn.

he's also a wildly successful musician, I'm sure he or his label has the bucks in addition to whatever deal boogie gives him.

Been playing the Mark V combo for about 3 months. I picked it out after many hours of side by side testing and it's been nothing but a joy to play ever since.

he is going about this very logically, it seems that he's using a send effects into a mixer with dedicated effects and then back in the returns to get stereo perception and a low noise signal.

I remember download those 2 videos parts on limewire...on a 56k modem. It was good quality at the time haha. Damn it's feels like a million years ago.

What, an overdrive pedal and a distortion pedal? A distortion pedal is just that, a usually digital pedal that creates your entire distorted sound. Classic examples are the DS1, BIg Muff, and Rat. An Overdrive pedal helps a tube amp distort earlier, and improves the overall quality of said distortion. Classic examples are the Tube Screamer, Tube Driver, and the Maxon OD9

I would just use an A/B/Y box, so you can choose either amp seperately or combine them. Guitar into the input, one output to the Peavey, one output to the Boogie.

mogami are ok. But if you wan the ultimate in strong cable with a really good shield you can't past Canare GS-6 with Nuetrik connectors. Solder on by somebody who knows what they are doing not just any hobo with a soldering iron.

but your forgetting John Petrucci has been with mesa for about 18 years, he probably gets it all the amps for free. Or at least a HUGE discount

JP has been Mesa's poster child for the better part of two decades now. The ONLY thing from Boogie he has to pay for is his INSANE collection of vintage IIC+ heads. He literally owns every version of the amp ever made...gotta be at least 10 different models..90w Simul, 60/100 ab, EQ +/-, 180w, satelite, heads and 112 combo. Heard he might have close to 50. Those are the only ones that cost him

I think the true bypass mod is only really usefull if you are using the TS as a standalone distortion unit (and who the fuck does that). Its a useless mod in the studio, or when you switch between clean and distorted using a midi pedal controller. Personaly I think the old TS is a great tool for getting a little extra from and amp by setting the gain at 0 and level so that it barely effects volume. Perfecto
