Its really sad to see this but I'm glad I did. I was very close with him back in the day. Garden Grove California. Mark was a gentle soul and I loved that most about him. I loved his family and hung out with them a lot. Mr & Mrs Norton, Mark, Michael, & Kathy. Barely outta high school. I'll remember those days FOREVER...Big part of my life. Sorry you had to leave this earth so soon my friend. Until we meet again n_n

This is Mark´s legacy: "Magic Bullet Theory", an instrumental album that is so amazing. It was issued just four years before his death. It is here on KZitem. Rest in peace, Mark!

Mark did an interesting interview with the great 1990s fanzine KISS STRIKE. In it he describes the tiny apartment the band rented for him. It was an old walk-up and there was no electricity in the bathroom.

It's really weird hearing Mark claim he never played a full show live with KISS, when in fact he played TWO full shows (plus a partial show) with KISS (and KISS officially released Poughkeepsie NY with Mark playing the whole show on Off the Soundboard), maybe he was on drugs already at this point and his memory faded. Poor guy, he was such a wonderful guitar player. I think it's so great that KISS officially released a full live show with Mark on soundboard (Poughkeepsie NY). His performance was pretty damn good. But it also showed that Bruce was a better fit for KISS. Though I think Mark could've been a great fit for the band if he had continued playing live with them. We'll of course never know. RIP Mark. You deserved so much more.

@metalhealth12 Indeed. The guitar work he did on Under the Gun off Animalize says it all.

I first saw Mark when he joined a Top 40 band I had been in. He was playing like a cross between Eddie VH and Allan Holdsworth then---VERY Holdsworth. It was an unreal thing to see, and it didn't surprise me that he was discovered and ended up in Kiss. His young passing was tragic.

Anybody know what Jackson guitar he played?

Mainly a black Jackson Soloist with 3 single coils, as seen in the Heaven's on fire music video. But live with KISS, he played a black Jackson Dinky (student model, neck-through, very uncommon for a Dinky to have a neck-through construction), and a Charvel Style Jackson bright yellow with black pick guard.
