Chinese export to ASEAN countries has surpass export to US. China is expanding into Global Majority (South), but US only focus on China. If American manufacturing is so efficient and add-value, why not enter Africa, South Asia, Asean, South America? Western World only consist 12~15% population, 85% of global majority is there for US to explore. But we all know the reason why. US industry is too slow, lazy and expensive.

China will never collapse. Chinese Central Government owns every inch of the land legally and physically, their citizens can only lease proerty from state for a period of 70 years. Chinese Central Government is actually the biggest landlord in the world and in history. If China turn this into their Balance sheet, it woll be worth trillion x trillion x trillions of usd. And US fed is 35T in debts. How is China going to collapse if CPC is the biggest landlord?

I feel many other countries are guilty of this same issue. Cheap manufacturers outside of the US, selling their goods at much less prices compared to ones made in the US. They should just put a tariff of %100 on all imported items to be fair. Then other countries can do the same to the US goods they import, tack on %100.

Well it's just a plain argument really the USA will do whatever it's people want and if Americans want protectionism then so be it, the world has no right answers only different ways of doing things. Chinese companies will instead export car parts, batteries, motors and all that good stuff which is just as good really. Exporting cars means you have to set up network of dealers, you need to comply with endless regulations and laws and deal with warranty and issues, it is much easier to just sell the parts instead.
