"I'm so lucky to have a piece of the Goldengate bridge" *Golden Gate bridge collapses behind her*

It's near midnight. You're tired, about to go to bed, but youtube chucks this video thumbnail on the side. "Aww, how cute, a couple getting married on the effiel Tower", you think. You listen to that first minute, and hear "I am in love with the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Golden Gate Bridge is in love with me", and you know you're going to be up till 1am again

I'm glad she finally settled down; it was sad to think about how many hearts she'd broken - the Golden Gate Bridge, that jet plane, and her bow, not to mention that '57 Chevy and her iPad - on her search for true love.

I think what people are having difficulty understanding is how someone can "fall in love" with an object with no emotion and no movement. A loving relationship is give and take. The objects are giving her nothing corporeal; she is imagining that this object is in love with her because: She can't handle a relationship with something that can think for itself, and she can't be in a position where she isn't fully and totally in control, and that is most definitely an issue.

Ha ha. I was hoping her relationship with the third place trophy would be one of those, hating someone (something?) at first, but then gradually falling for them and it being the love of her life. I so wanted her to get with the trophy, and have a happy new relationship. Forget Lance. He was just a good-looker, but ultimately with no depth! My God. What has watching this documentary done to me...

Thanks for uploading. It was interesting. People actually love other people they don't know (celebrities) or people who have rejected them. They love dogs, cats, cars, money, or other concepts of 'nations', 'religion', 'political manifestos' etc etc. So maybe it's not what or who you love, but the simple act of loving itself that is important ?
@spazzticafantazztica5555

IMO I think these people are lucky to be attracted to objects instead of people. With objects you dont have to deal with rejection and they are always attainable. Sounds like a good way to live.

Everything she "loves" is something created by another human. She doesn't "love" rocks or trees or anything entirely natural.. as far as I'm concerned, this is an incredibly misplaced "love" by-proxy of things that represent the people she (for whatever reason) hasn't the ability to connect to. If it were the case that she "loved" rocks/trees/mountains, I'd say OK, it's a very unusual psychological condition.. as it is, it seems like the grossest form of avoidance of a much deeper issue.

that chick denies her child abuse as a reason for being this way? Being passed around from orphanage to orphanage would clearly cause a person to completely distrust humans and then turn to something inanimate for love. Inanimate objects can't hurt you emotionally.

I love Erika. She is such a great spokesperson for her community. Objectum-sexuality is absolutely fascinating. I think her objects are very lucky. Who wouldn't want to be loved by someone kind, intelligent, and lovely? I don't see any reason why somebody should think objectum-sexuals are crazy are wrong. What do you care? They are simply very different in how they relate to the world. It's a different kind of personhood. They're happy. Nobody is hurt. We need more love like this in the world.
