@MiamiBeach xxx Al Green can give folks the biggest slice of Humble Pie when he Sings with them. Lyle Lovett, Melissa Ethereidge can attest to that. Even Justin Timberlake admitted he had some "Work" to do after he sang with him. The only Two that could hold theirs was Joss Stone & Annie Lennox. But didnt Jules and Vince drove with a cab? After they dropped the car at Monster Joes, theyre left without a car as Wolf drives off in his Acura with Monster Joes daughter, and in last second of that scene Jules calls for a cab. Besides, i dont find Butch to be a dickless piece of shit that keys another mans vehicle...
@edwardterry9468
6 жыл бұрын
That's good question. They did take a cab from Monster Joe's to the diner (or so it may seem) but, Vincent does mention to Lance that he had had the car in storage. It's possible that Jules and Vince called a cab, went to the diner in the cab, ate breakfast, had the Mexican standoff with Ringo and Honeybunny, called another cab, went to pick the car up from storage and drove it Marcellus' place. But then, you would have to wonder whether or not they would have had time to wait for a cab after having the standoff in the diner. I would imagine that after that incident, they would be expecting police to show up, so they would be in a little too much of a hurry to stand around waiting for a cab, so I assume they must have already had Vince's car before they got to the diner. That leads me to believe that they must have decided to have breakfast, called the cab, took the cab to the storage unit, and then drove Vince's car to the diner, had breakfast, and then drove to Marcellus' place.

This could well be what decides Butch to refuse to take the dive. Marcellus gives his speech, pretending to have Butch's best interests at heart, giving him a good way to go out with a decent paycheck. But immediately after that, he sees the utter contempt he gets from one of Marcellus' flunkies, and then sees Marcellus warmly receive the flunky that had just all but spit on him, and that tells him everything he needs to know about what Marcellus REALLY thinks of him. So he decides screw Marcellus Wallace and his payoff, and bets on himself to win what's supposed to be a fixed fight that everyone in the know is going to be betting the other way on.

Knowing Butches Great Grandfather, Grandfather and Fathers backstory they wouldn’t have tolerated this situation.

It is funny. During the fight at Maynard's weapons store, Butch actually throws some of Marcellus' words back at him while punching him, particularly about the pride phukking with him...........but then Zed arrived.

Different situation. Boxing is a sport. Being kidnapped and almost raped is another thing. In terms of reputation Marcellus needs pride as he is a criminal. Butch is a boxer that is in his 30s and being rich as a boxer that age frame is rare and in truth had a few fights in him. If he wasn't going to be a big time it was a good idea to take a dive

I don't know why, but when I saw this part in the theater as a kid I was crackin' up, and I was the only one in the whole theater laughing. Just the way Marcellus curses is funny.

The fact that Vincent knew about his boss Marsellus setting up the throw fight after making that comment to Butch made Butch think twice about his upcoming match which led to his betrayal and Vincent's Demise.
