Please, listen many "Blue Notes" sessions, with Rudy Van Gelden, with his withe gloves, as Sound Sorcerer. With Miles, Thelonious, Milt Jakcson. The Sound of Bernie Gordie come from this guy, more or less..I discovered "Martha and the Vendellas" by...Chris Squire, Bassist and Founder of Yes. 5 years of "European Tours" as Bass Tech, 1999-2004. Many nights to talk Musics during many years. Finally, please also The Bass Solo of "Starships Troopers", Its a respectuous Hommage to "Bernie Gordy" Sound, James Jamerson of course. And Alan White, who played with Joe Cocker was reallly happy too. Martha and The Vendellas. A Pure Diamond.

The amount of talent that converged to make this is unbelievable. Written by Marvin Gaye, who's also playing the drums, with Mickey Stevenson and Ivy Jo Hunter. The Funk Brothers just killing it. The Vandellas really delivering the vocals, and the moves! Especially Martha, look at that smile, that attitude. I even tip my hat to whoever directed the main video here, and the cameramen, who caught it just right. For my money, it doesn't get any better.

Yes! 1964 Was Great! It was plenty of protesting against school racial segregation and the Vietnam War. The scumbag teamster Jimmy Hoffa was convicted and the USA help out in a coup to overthrow the Brazilian President, starting 21 years of dictatorship there. Also, Mrs. Malcolm Peabody, 72, sat 2 days in a Florida jail, for participating in an anti-segregation demonstration there and some black folks were kidnapped and beaten by members of the KKK. Their badly decomposed bodies are found just before three Congress of Racial Equality workers, are abducted and murdered near Philadelphia, Mississippi, by local members of the White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan with local law enforcement officials involved in the conspiracy. Who can forget the plentiful style and class!?

6 months later, I hear not one person showing one reason to dance as manufacturing, farming and energy jobs go down the drain, illegals pour over an unguarded border, crime increases, morale is killed, chaos is rising.

Real music era 50s 60s 70s 80s and some 90s after that sadly WENT down hill from there.

I don't know about the 80s if you were into hard rock. A lot of long hair men with lots of face painting. I'm into rock and I listened to it and I really don't care for it now.

This Song greatly embodies the spirit of the mood of the 60's. Sadly, the mood did not last.
