I can't believe you stayed in that cabin when you first found it! You obviously saw through what it looked like, to what it could be. Good for you. It's really inspiring what you can do when you are willing to work hard, with some help from friends I assume. It's also really cool that you are influencing others (as I see in the comments) yo do the same. Our family has a cabin on a lake in Ontario. We have two sons who love going up there. I know the property will be the one real thing they will inherit some day, and it is my most fervent wish that it stays in the family for generations to come. Anyone doubting that all the hard work is worth it, or that it is too much to take on, because the obstacles you have to overcome sometimes seem impossible. IT IS WORTH IT.

Thanks, I have enjoyed talking to those who lived out there and used the cabin. I talked to "Jack" who was still logging in the area when I started my visits.

What a great backstory. You sure have put a lot of work into that cabin. Enjoy it as long as you can. Take care.
