Omg I love these two together. Seth is my favorite interviewer out there right now bc he’s intelligent, but not afraid to be absolutely goofy, like he is here. He’s the perfect combination of Sean Evans, John Stewart, and Conan. Or maybe he’s just one of a kind. Yeah, it’s the last one.

Nobody ages out of pixar! I saw toy story in theaters the summer i was off to college, just like Andy in the movie. My friend and girlfriend at the time burst into tears during that movie and my other friend (his date, basically but they weren't dating) bust out laughing at them. It was a good movie. We were all going to college in the fall, 3 separate colleges, 2 in state, 1 out.

Anyhow, this kid from the Science School comes into the shop with a baseball pitcher’s glove and says, “Hey mister. I need a book about an inspirational baseball pitcher for my book report assignment.” So I pull out a book and read him the first page: ‘I promised the young men I coached in the high school team in my small Texas town that if they won the district title for the first time in school history, I would try out for the minor leagues. I knew it was a big call. I’d had five arm surgeries and was 35 years old. I thought that even in a tryout if I ended up hurting my arm again my wife wouldn’t be happy. The boys won the title. Who would ever have imagined that after keeping my promise to the boys that I would eventually tryout for the Devil Rays -- then in just their second season of existence. When I hit 98 mph on 12 straight pitches, the scouts double-checked their radar guns to confirm what they had seen was real. Two days later, I threw for the team again and was again in the mid-90s. The team didn’t care about my age. I was left-handed, throwing gas and healthy. The Devil Rays signed me up quick, and I was in Double-A within a month.’ And I say, how’s that son? And he says, “I don’t mean a Hollywood fiction story mister. I want a true story.” And I say son, it’s a true story…about Jim Morris…but the kid is halfway out the door.
