something no one, ever, mentions. if you are doing high altitude work it takes seconds to clip a carabiner or whatever type of fastener to this hammer, high or low. we all miss, if it's 20 stories up this could save someone. from experience, I know form setters (been there) and guys working at heights generally don't tie off everything.. but in this situation its extremely easy, and safe.

Great review. I ordered my M4 with the M1 head and use this setup for framing. I have both an Estwing and Stiletto full size framing hammers but the longer length makes them hard for me to control so I end up choking up. The M4 handle with the M1 head is the perfect length for me. I have the M4 head on order for finishing work. You might consider the smaller M4 head that is designed for that type of work.

Sounds good. Ye not long after this I ordered the m4 head for finishing work. Its far better suited as you say. I was finding the bigger m1 head awkward for getting into corners etc.

Good review, Looking to buy a martinez hammer myself but I can't decide on which model. I mainly do remodel/renovations on houses and cabins so I'm thinking the m4 will be good for that, But I also like power so the m1 might be for me.

Wow you have almost same setups like mine. I had used the 14oz stiletto and recently got an m4 with m1 head. The stiletto is a good hammer but is too long and big so I got the Martinez. My first impression for m4 with m1 head is the setup is too heavy. M1 head is supposedly 15oz so It shouldn't be much different than the 14oz stiletto but it felt too heavy for me. Now I'm using the m4 head with the m4 body. Its head is relatively light still has power and its square shape head make it easy for striking tight spots

I know what you mean. It feels a lot heavier than the stiletto, especially in the head. Thats good to know. I was planning buying the m4 head to put on my m4 handle so now you've said you like it, I think I definitely will 👍

@@tiarnantinnelly5714 m4 body with an m4 head feels almost the same as the estwing 20z for me. M4 with an m1 head definitely feels heavier than estwing 20z for me

M1 and M4 both seem very heavy. How do people prefer a steel head making contact with nails ( more vibration ) compared to a titanium head. Also I thought hickory has even less vibration than titanium so I would think you would want a hickory handle. Just curious.
