I just finished Season 2 this weekend! I found the midpoint of the season to drag a little. But it was all worth it for that finale!! Seriously, the best finale of any Marvel TV show by a MILE, and probably one of their overall best episode of television! That said, I have some *thoughts* on the series. Based on my current rate of reviewing, it'll be a **hot** minute before I'm caught up xD

I adore these review supercuts, especially considering they're new watches for me personally. Makes my day whenever I can put these on for an afternoon and enjoy your takes :D

Glad to hear it! Hopefully someday I'll have 100 hours of these videos, and you can just loop them for an endless drone of nerd-noise until all my takes have become your own. Slowly I will infect the minds of all!!

It's funny listening to you recount your experiences going to see the first Thor movie, because I found it parallels mine and my sibling's when we went to go see Ragnarok; We went to our small town's movie theater, to see it at a time when we were really trying to get into the MCU, we'd seen a few of the movies before it, but hadn't seen the first two Thors, but figured that this one looked like if it wasn't going to be good, it would at least be funny, and would kill some time on a cold winter afternoon. That functioned as my introduction to Taika Watiti, and led to me watching Hunt for the Wilderpeople, which is one of my favorite movies of all time now.

Hell yeah! I wasn't sure if including my own early theatrical experience was worth it. I'm glad to hear someone could relate :) Hunt for the Wilderpeople was initially my "interlude" for Ragnarok!! I realized I hadn't seen it recently enough to do justice to what makes that movie so special. So I decided to do my "3 safe horror movie" list instead - and will likely talk about HftW during my eventual Love & Thunder video :)

I had some issues Thor 4's pacing and structure (it's not a super tightly constructed movie, and definitely felt like it was missing some scenes) not to mention the visuals looking meh at times. Not in the "MCU movies have flat camera work and bad colours" way but just in the backgrounds not looking too hot most of the time. That said it was still my favourite movie of Phase 4. I'm always down for a wholesome film, and L&T delivered on that front for me. All the discussions of love and life hit me, and Thor's character journey felt really consistent with how he was portrayed previously, the ending with all the kids getting powers really made me smile, and the action and camera movements and stuff was still really cool. Honestly, I feel like the biggest problem the movie had was that it wasn't quite as consistently funny, kind of odd.

So I got recommended your video on rocketman vs bohemian rhapsody aftrer watching a different video essay on the movie "yesterday". really liking that video I immidiately watched the next recommended video which was your avengers reviews. That video was so insanely fun to revisit the movies I loved but hadn't seen in a long while. I then clicked on your channel and was delighted to see you made videos on the marvel trilogies before age of ultron that I binged all 3. I must say (and sorry if you're sick of reading this) but these video's are vastly underrated. I am subscribed now and will be patiently waiting your other reviews on the marvel movies! As a side-note... side-question? I was wondering if you were gonna do any of the movies beyond the infinity saga and maybe any series? i would totally understand if you would be a bit burned out by then (especially as it would probably take a while to get there even), but I was just curious what your thoughts are on covering those. Either way "i will be watching your career with great interest"! (while also checking out more of your videos in the meantime)

Thank you so much sirdurpsalot! It's always fun to see these videos get a bit of love. As you guessed, they can take a fair bit of work to complete for sure. But absolutely I'd like to do more in this style! Marvel, DC, Fox, Sony, and comic book movies of all kinds really. Slowly but surly xD If I can ever catch up and get beyond the Infinity Saga, I'll happily talk about the Disney+ series as well! In some ways that's easier, as it means reviewing what amounts to a ~6 hour movie, rather than 3 separate 2 hour movies. I currently have partial videos in this style sitting incomplete... I'd start one. Need to prioritize something else. Lose team. Start a new one a few months later. Rinse and repeat. But I'm eager to get back in the groove of video making over the Winter! So hopefully too long of a wait before you start seeing more installments in this "series".
