My parents had this whole special on tape when I was little, and I watched it countless times. Their guide to doing the sounds always made me giggle uncontrollably. They had an amazing stage presence. What a marvelous gift they gave everyone.

Mary, thank you for all of the memories and beautiful music... You (and Peter and Paul) will always define American folk music for me. May you rest in peace.

It always amazes me how Peter Paul and Mary could capture the ENTIRE audience, from toddlers to great-grandparents. I haven't heard some of their songs in 50 years yet the words come back to me.

Add this to my feel good collection of clips. This very clip will help me to defeat any bouts of depression that I may have in life, and I'm bipolar! Thank You so very much, Sommartjejer, for sharing with me a wonderful gift this holiday season.

I was at that concert back in the late 80s. It was so much fun. The entire audience sang along with almost every song. And I mean everyone; young, old, middle aged. We were singing and laughing and wishing it wouldn't end.

Really one of the greatest groups to have graced the music world. Mary especially was a special talent and an extremely beautiful lady. I never did understand her costume choice though , especially in her later years . God keep the three of you always

It sounds like the singers and string musicians were feeling warm 🥵, knees beginning to shake and their mind going blank with a sudden 😲 stage fright with a pause

This is what performing should be about -- you just don't sing a song you love, but have a great time singing it and make sure your audience does too!

@efil4own1isback Sweatheart, They passed it in every concert. All you had to do to get it was to just sit there & join in with everyone else in the singing. I went to one of their concerts in Washington State in 1995 & I had nothing but a blast singing with them! I was working at The MN Renaissance Festival when Mary died & I was stuned. I went back to my tent, got my laptop & dug out every PP&M file I had & played them as loud as I could! I miss you Mary! Thank you for the music!

All most children, no, ALL children want is safety, love, and a little magic. Ever see the faces of children in the worst war torn areas of the world just light up, when somebody gives them a little candy or a soccer ball or a toy? It don't cost very much. Spread the safety, love, joy and a little magic....wherever you roam.
