This gentleman thought outside of the box to work what was being given to him. I watched another video and the guy was just angry. He spent time telling how he took the chances to start his restaurant and his workers don't appreciate what he did. I don't how his restaurant ended up.

First... The fact that ALL his employees stayed says A LOT about him as an employer. SECOND... Any employer who FOREGOES profits in this day and age IS AN EXTREME ANOMOLY. The United States is in the mess its in right now due to Profits before People. THIRD... These business owners care about their fellow man and neighbors. Everyone knows it takes the brave person to dive into a riptide and rescue the person who is drowning, but it's the chain of interlinked arms that forms from that rescuer to the shore that completes the task. With some companies now raising minimum wages- we are seeing immediate cost increases in groceries. THE PROFIT MONGERS WILL NEVER CHANGE PROFIT MARGINS. No matter what, they will fight to maintain the separation of the classes. Can't say enough how refreshing this story is. I'm in PA and will DEFINITELY be stopping at this restaurant in my travels.

Almost too simple of a solution. Nice to hear about those who continued to work, not the lazy ones who stayed home cause they were being paid extra. Karma to those bums. Thank you to every person, who had to continue working cause there were no free lunches for them. They kept gas in our cars, food in our refrigerators, health issues addressed, etc.

@@gracie2298 Maybe looking in the mirror and being a little introspective and compassionate will help you understand the response. Or try to "walk a mile" in the shoes of those of whom you are judgmental will help you be more understanding. In case you didn't understand it, those are some of the people this man helps. Neither negativity nor judgment ever helped anyone, especially the one who feels it.

@@gracie2298 sorry, pumpkin, but I agree with @Feelin Guru-vy. Walk a mile in another’s shoes. Stop judging those “bums” and realize that everyone has different stories. You have waxed rhapsodic about this man and what he has done for his employees and community. He is not judging those he feeds; he is helping those who need help without requesting they submit a CV proving they are good enough. Jesus said clothe the naked, feed the hungry, welcome the stranger. He didn’t say clothe, feed and welcome *only* if they have been deemed worthy. Instead of threatening karma on others, worry about what karma will be visited upon you for casting judgement upon those you don’t know. Have gratitude for what you have rather than wishing retribution against the strangers in your own backyard.

He didn't say he suffered financial loss, he said "we stayed open and in business" for our customers, employees and suppliers". Pay attention.
