I agree with you, the overall quality of music in Japan is unmatched by any other country in the world, especially in Fusion and free jazz. Japan also respects jazz as a music style more than the United States

Is there anyone who knows why Honda doesn't play at T-square anniversary concerts? Miyazaki Takahiro always attends the T-square anniversary concert but Honda doesn't do that only excepts for one time. Is there any reason?

Sorry for the late reply, but I think there are some disagreements between Honda and Andoh, hence why Honda rejoined T-Square as a support member once Andoh left the band. Although considering that T-Square had a change in musical style during Honda's tenure as their saxophonist (being more complex and technical, as emphasized by Megalith and Bad Moon which were composed by Honda), it's kinda understand able. However Andoh did became a special guest at Honda 60th birthday live performance.

what is the ewi-type instrument called that Honda plays in Takarajima at 7:00?
Oh my GOD this blew me away! Never before have I heard Takarajima or Omens of Love be played so beautifully! I’m in literal awe! Much love to the T-SQUARE gang from the United States! 🇺🇸🔥💪🏻
