JDF has been my hero since I was a kid and I’ll be a fan long after now. Like many fans I follow him on social media and always look forward to his projects. I’ve had the honor of meeting him last year at SLCCC and he always makes me want to be the best person I can be. And this video just made me want to push myself even more, but remember not to lose myself and the person I am while on that journey. Thank you JDF!

My men's group when I was back in Oregon spoke often of the false self, the front that we put up that shields us from who we really are, and how it can hold us back from living our best life by substituting a hollow yet safe one. You encapsulate that struggle so well to be free of that mask. I look forward to seeing more videos like this one. God bless, Jason.

I felt this at a deep level. I let a tragedy that happened years ago force the person I was into hiding and I wore a ‘mask’ to hide behind as a type of security, but I have worn it for so long that I have ultimately lost who I was underneath it and have become someone entirely different, but I still fight to find myself again. I think the way you use your fame is courageous and inspiring. Thank you!

This really makes me think a lot, especially being older now and being a father. I think about all the masks I ever wore as a young man, the mask to impress, the mask to fit in, the many changes one can go through in a single life time. Makes me realize all the masks I dont want my son to have to wear, I want him to be as comfortable with who he is as humanly possible because you dont need a mask to be a wonderful person, just have to let yourself and all that you are shine through. Thank you for being such an inspiration to myself and my son JDF. No matter how old one gets, we always need real inspirational heroes to look up to.

It’s deep. People wear a different mask just to fit in. They wear it so long that they lose who they are. They will get to a place where they aren’t happy with life anymore and lose their selves and it’s hard to come back from it. This was deep and true on many level #JDF.

I feel like this is how JDF feels about Power Rangers, either all the time or just sometimes. Like how he's been doing it for so long and constantly pulled back into it that it's all that people know him for. Maybe I'm looking too deep into it, but that's what I got out of this video, besides the obvious and freaking powerful message behind it. I can't wait to see more like this from JDF.

Ironically, we are all raised to wear said mask(s) to survive and succeed in a world where truth is stranger than fiction. Some of us get broken in the process while others embrace the mask(s). For better or worse, our facades help make us into who we are today and influence others profoundly as well. Thank you my friend for sharing such a profound poem and reminding us that with a little empathy and humility we can help others slowly remove the mask(s) that might burden or frustrate those unable to differentiate from their true self. Thank you.

Jdf thank you for this, for the inspiration that you are. You have always been an inspiration for so many generations and are still known for a mask, the amazing green, white, red, and black ranger. But sometimes you wear a mask for so long you forget who you are beneath it. I may not know you personally but I can tell you are an amazing father, family man, leader, and human. Please keep writing, keep expressing yourself, and keep showing us the man beneath the mask! ♥️♥️♥️ #jdfspokentruth

Hey man, I grow up watching your show, I was in that age range your show was aiming to. Now I'm turning 33 this year so you can figure the impact you did in my childhood for me to keep looking for you, now I leave In BX New York. Any way congrats on what you have done over the years, even if you don't believe it, you don't have any idea how much impact you have done because if you go to any country in Latin America and you mention that "the green/white power ranger" is going to visit a Latin country people will go to see you even if we don't speak the your language so go figure the impact you did. Any way, this was a friendly approach and I like to know when you coming to NYC because I like to at least see you on comic on or any other event you do in NYC. Take care.

JDF was my favorite super hero on my favorite childhood show.. but my love for the show never faded as I've become an adult. Hes also a super hero off the show for inspiring so many people to be their best selves. He knows, as a hero who wore the mask, that in real life, sometimes we wear a mask go be something we're not. This video is an important reminder for us to remember who we are and embrace it. Just a quick story, my manager went to a Vegas convention and told JDF about how I was a huge fan and couldnt make it, JDF grabbed the phone and shouted me out. That's a real super hero. I hope to win the poster that has all the super heroes I grew up watching to remind myself to be a hero myself, every single day.

Such a huge fan of JDF’s poetry! He reaches out to so many people and provides words of familiarity to many who can find comfort in knowing that they are not alone during their dark times. Many people experience mental struggles in their lives and JDF shows that it is good to open up, to express yourself - you should not be ashamed by what you feel as the first step to overcoming darkness is to open up to others around you. Keep up the great work JDF! You are helping so many people and should feel so proud 😊JDF is also funding all of these productions himself - this reaffirms just how much a kind-hearted, genuine and caring individual that he is. God bless 🙏 🌳Can’t wait until Branches!🌳 May 15th here at JDFFFN everyone! 🙌
