The present is a repost. I posted the following for a reason hours ago.. Dope! If you can’t understand Chinese, it's your fault. At least, try a translation engine.

@@rty6174 BS. "Taiwan" refers to one single island when the ROC refers to the entire "country." Under the One China Policy that 130+ countries recognize, "Taiwan" is part of China. So are you the "Real China" or are you "Part of China" ? You can't have the cake and eat it too so choose.

Taiwan is a country . China is another . One China policy means 🇨🇳 . No conflict 👍
No Vassal state can regain recognition by historical records 😂😂😂 . All depends on China being China part Province of China how ever Tsai ing wen try Not even Chiang Kai Sek dare during Mao zedong periods . What is U.S. even 19th Centuries nothing this is 21st centuries U.S. doesn't where climate impacts kicked U.S. out of planet .
A president with wisdom and executive ability. Unfortunately, the initial domestic policies were rather radical, such as pension reform which led to public resentment. Later, in an effort to win elections, the administration became more conservative and failed to effectively communicate with the people. The lack of administrative experience had a significant impact. However, I believe the early radical reforms were correct, though they were stigmatized by the blue media. The green media in the past were not much better, reflecting twenty years of hate politics. The excessive division of interests among party factions led to chaotic domestic affairs. It seems the president might have been somewhat deceived by subordinates. Whether the president was aware or did it for political integration is uncertain, but domestic policies suffered as a result. The executive power expanded excessively over the past eight years, rendering the five-branch system almost meaningless. Although this has always been an issue in Taiwan, promises to empower other branches were not fulfilled, and the pandemic further inflated the Executive Yuan's power. Taiwan's democracy is still very immature, and social media has exacerbated existing political hatred, reaching an almost uncontrollable level. We can only see how Lai Ching-te will handle it, but so far, there have been no visible actions. In terms of foreign affairs and international changes, the response was swift, given the president's diplomatic background. Despite severing ties with eight countries during this period, the administration effectively promoted Taiwan internationally through pandemic prevention and the US-China trade war. This deserves praise, though the lack of breakthroughs in the Southbound Policy is regrettable. The Ma administration also tried, but the US-China confrontation during Tsai's term made Southeast Asia strengthen its ties with China. The pandemic prevention measures were excellent in the early and mid-stages, mainly due to the rapid understanding of China's epidemic situation and prompt lockdown measures. However, in the later stages, the poor handling of domestic affairs led to much criticism, which is related to the aforementioned issues. Poor domestic governance also meant that media, internet, and social media-related legislation saw little progress. To manipulate elections, the administration's lax approach towards the media led to different parties speaking their own narratives, with louder voices from those with more funding and media power. Distinguishing facts has become increasingly difficult, reaching an uncontrollable stage. The president herself has not appeared in the media for over 700 days, only showing up for internal promotions for elections. This indicates significant problems within the party and its team. Every election period sees excessive internal propaganda, cyber armies, and resultant political apathy and chilling effects, which although not yet regressive, pose a crisis for democratic regression. Ultimately, cross-strait issues are mainly a US-China issue. Taiwan is not the focal point but more of a bargaining chip between the two, which is the sad reality of Taiwan's geopolitical situation. This cannot be changed. The public's enthusiasm for saving money has its reasons. Many cross-strait realities are obscured by media and political manipulation, reflecting the mutually beneficial coexistence of the KMT and CCP. However, the KMT's heavy historical baggage makes it much less agile compared to the DPP and the CCP elite. Frankly, the current international situation is favorable for the DPP's election, but regardless of who is in power, they will be pro-US, and the stock market will surpass 20,000 points. However, whether this is a blessing or a curse in the long run is uncertain, though in the short term, it is a blessing. Even if Tsai traveled back to the eras of Chen Shui-bian or Ma Ying-jeou, she would face similarly difficult diplomatic environments. It's not easy for Tsai Ing-wen to maintain the status quo with the DPP's baggage. Many people are unaware of this, and those who understand prefer not to discuss it, opting for prudence by saving money. This is the way of self-preservation. Overall, President Tsai Ing-wen is a low-key, highly capable, and diplomatically skilled president. However, her lack of administrative experience and the need to balance internal party interests led to numerous domestic issues. The media's cover-up and internal propaganda following early public discontent and plummeting approval ratings have been ongoing. There are both pros and cons. Taiwan's democracy has not progressed. I always felt these past eight years were a significant opportunity, but it was squandered. This has much to do with the internet, social media, media, and education, which exceeded the expectations of older politicians. It has reached an uncontrollable stage, and in the pursuit of elections, everyone has gone mad, especially the ruling Democratic Progressive Party. This is not just an individual's problem but a societal issue. Voters cannot be entirely blamed, as media is the only means of societal re-education. Distorted media leads to distorted people (media, voters, and government form a mutually balancing cycle). I have also decided to stay out of the spotlight for a while. Society seems increasingly pathological in political matters, making mutual communication, understanding, and forgiveness difficult. Finally, I just want to say: don’t make Ma shoulder the blame anymore; he has carried it for sixteen years.

In the 1980s, in order to block the Soviet Union, the United States enlisted mainland China to block the Soviet Union. Taiwan was isolated and helpless in the world. By 2020, the rise of mainland China in economic, technological and military strength has caused panic in the United States and other Western worlds. It has begun to encourage Taiwan's independence government to fight against mainland China, hoping to sacrifice the lives of Taiwanese people and maintain the status quo of the United States first. As Taiwanese, the Chinese hope for freedom and peace, and they do not welcome the selfishness of the United States that sacrifices the lives of Taiwanese people in exchange for American selfishness.

Nah! In all fairness, it's not her endeavor to make the world see Taiwan. Taiwan's visibility in the international community has never been about what Taiwan does and does not do, it's always about how America sees China. When us-sino relationship goes well, Taiwan is an abandoned orphan, totally invisible in the world. When that changes, the world starts to see Taiwan as a tool to poke china. Tsai has nothing to do with all this. Don't overrate tsai's role in all this. Her only contribution is a relatively mild approach to the crossed trait relationship. She did not step on anybody's toes, that's it.

Don't forget Hsiao Bi-Kim, the new Vice president of Taiwan. She did most of the heavy lifting for Taiwan's voices to be heard in our congress when she was the Ambassador to the US, thus uniting both republican and democrat congress members to support Taiwan.

Wrong. Taiwan's increased visibility is not because of Tsai, but China's threat. If it were not for the geopolitical conflict that China brought about, the world would not hear more, or less, of Taiwan. One example, we hear the name of Philippines mentioned very often these years, is it because their president did a great job? Or is it because of China's water cannon?

Thank you President Tsai. In your tenure, your leadership, intellectual and foresights are a rarity in this chaotic world. You have planted a seed of confidence, wellbeing and thriving free society in Taiwan for the generations to come. I just hope that the people in Taiwan realize how good they have achieved and would not be seduced by the CCP with its false pretense; their ideology is a cancer for the mankind.
