Underlining Hvar's history, heritage, and landscape, Maslina was born as a mindful resort for conscious travelers looking for an authentic and local getaway. Respecting the nature, people, customs, and traditions that belong to the fragile island landscape, Maslina was conceptualized with exclusive experiences and family-friendly facilities embedded into the pristine natural environment.
Maslina's identity stemmed from imagining a hotel made for adults and kids alike, where guests of all ages could enjoy culture, wellness, relaxation, and activities in one place. Moreover, it was crucial to establish a high level of hospitality, which naturally requires experienced and well-trained staff who can exceed guests' expectations with their keen attention to detail.
A farm-to-plate concept has been completely implemented into the resort's development, from the cuisine to the Spa and cocktails. The Organic Garden is used to grow vegetables, herbs, and spices, which will be used in spa treatments, crafted cocktails, and the delicate cuisine of the amazing Chef.
With the Spa and the Restaurant, it was vital for Maslina to offer guests a personalized and healthy culinary and wellbeing program through menus and treatments based on a local and customized approach.
The Design at Maslina Resort - Maslina Resort fuses classic Mediterranean styles with contemporary French touches, respecting the nature already in place as the foundation of the design philosophy. To cultivate the same feeling the designers had upon first visiting Maslinica Bay, native and local species are used to maintain the landscape language already in place, where the wild Mediterranean vegetation thrives thanks to thick Aleppo pines, mature olive trees, and fragrant herb bushes.
The landscape is linked with the colors of the materials, which are all-natural and locally sourced. The low-intrusive architecture floats on the landscape like scattered pavilions, decorated with a ventilated wooden facade that blends in with the island environment. The integrated interior design is inspired by the four elements of nature, which helped construct a palette driven by the cerulean Adriatic Sea, salty summer breeze, pearly white rocks, and dense green forest. Local Brac Island stone, exotic Iroko wood, brushed brass, and tones of terracotta are harmonized with the natural color scheme. At the same time, custom-made interiors and carefully handpicked vintage pieces complete a space that is intimate, comfortable, and delicately designed with the guest in mind. Mindful Luxury, at its best.
A sublime hideaway enveloped in rich history, untouched nature, culinary arts, and cultural heritage, Maslina Resort is located in the stunning Maslinica Bay on Hvar Island in Croatia. Hvar and the surrounding Pakleni Islands Archipelago lies in the northeast Mediterranean basin, located just a short flight from most mainland European cities. Maslina Resort stretches across two hectares of lush pine forest with the crystalline Adriatic Sea at your fingertips. A 15-minute stroll along the coast leads you to the UNESCO-protected town of Stari Grad, which is one of the oldest towns in the Eastern Adriatic. The closest local and international airports to Hvar island are Split, Dubrovnik, and Brac. There is also a helipad on the island, just 1.5 kilometers from Maslina Resort.
Private speed boats are available to transfer guests from Split Airport to Maslina Resort in only 45 minutes. From Split Airport, the Split Ferry Terminal is reachable by bus, taxi, or arranged private transfer. The ferry takes approximately two hours from the city center of Split to Stari Grad Port on Hvar Island, which is just a short walk from Maslina Resort. Alternatively, the catamaran takes approximately one hour to the island. Upon request, complimentary pick-up from Stari Grad Port is available. The Restaurant - Each detail on your plate tells a story, evokes a place, and creates a memory.
