Don't know. It wasn't owned by a mason. In fact there are several masonic jurisdictions that forbid members to sell alcohol as their main profession.

The initiation is not like a college fraternity I assure you. It bonds you as members/brothers. If you are a male over 18 and believe in a higher power... just join and get initiated. Top 5 best decisions I have ever made.

Thank you, brother! I’ve been interested in joining Scottish Rite but generally my valley holds reunions during a busy time of the year for me (plus something else is keeping me from petitioning). Still, my blue lodge has been very supportive of my journey thus far and I’m quite pleased where I am. If you ever find yourself in Midland or Odessa Texas, please let me know!

Brother Tony, would you kindly share what’s the best way for man to approach a Mason lodge to start his travel journey? I’ve come across many obstacles with Masons in trying to become part of a lodge. I believe I’ve met Masons, however, they are not “active” nor standing square as they do not follow through with their word. Any insight would be helpful. Btw, I live between Atlanta, Georgia and Alameda, California

You must have a big house to stretch from Georgia to California. LOL Look online for a local lodge. Call the Secretary if you can or find out when they meet. Show up an hour early and break bread. You have to ask..."How do I get started?"

One question I have and no im not one of those guys asking if you worship lucifer...but ive got a masonic bible claiming that masons learn Gods TRUE Hebrew name and only masons have that light. Apparently the name of Jehovah and the mysteries behind it, are a huge thing you learn. So it this is true, what do masons believe is the true name of God? I hope this is answered. Because if mason's really are a light to the world, surely they would want people to know ❤

Yeh, sounds like Jehovah's Witnesses--who appear to be the slavish builder-arm of the Masons. All the old men leaders of JWs sport masonic rings. And they DO worship Lucifer. Lucifer ('the thousand points of light') was the one who gave mankind all the knowledge, don't you know, and that crabby old testy God wouldn't let men have it. :)

On the contrary. I am Baptist and ordained. We do not worship any God. Because Masonry is NOT a religion no more than your job is a religion. We revere a higher power, and that is "your" higher power. I cover this in another video.
@HighValueMan24

@CoolestLife hmmm...sounds like an institution that's against God then. No true Christian could become part of such a fraternity. Because if it supports all religions, and people can worship what they deem to be a higher power, it is against that TRUE higher power. Sad 😔

@@CoolestLife I grew up Babtist. Many 'baptists' are civics-leaders...at least they like to think so. No matter your self-deception, it is NOT and will NEVER be 'my' higher power. I worship Christ Jesus of Nazareth, the only begotten son of the Living God, who died on a blood-stained piece of wood to cover my sins and bring me back to the Father. As you follow your masonic journey, it will become more apparent that the God of the Bible is NOT the god of the masons -- given their proclivity to ignore Jesus in favor of 'Jehovah' -- also prevalent in the masonic bible. I pray you keep an open mind of the true Father while you engage in your wonderful civic events for your community.🙏

Freemasonry is not a religion, it is a fraternity. One who doesn’t judge which higher power you worship. Do you have friends who are non Christian ? Or do you go and judge everyone? Perhaps if that’s the case you ought to read a little deeper into the Bible

Thanks for sharing. The question I've had since being raised (March 2022) is why should a new Master Mason consider joining the Scottish Rite (or York Rite)? I've asked several people who were promoting upcoming reunions and nobody has had an answer.

@CoolestLife While I appreciate your response, it lacks much in the way of information necessary to make an informed decision. I joined the Shrine a month after I was raised because I was assured that it provided a Masonic activity that my wife could participate in as well. Sadly, at least at my temple, that was not the case. Before I commit to joining another organization that will take me out of the house for at least 1 more night a month, I'd like to know a bit more about the benefits of membership.

In NMJ when you witness the fourth- degree and 1° for each lodge plus the 32 degree you are then considered a 32° then you finish up other degrees during reunions over time.

Thanks for the tour. Here is the question ringing in my mind. Over the centuries, the Mason's are all about doing good and practicing virtues but now in 2024 I see America falling into the pit of Vice. Now I wonder in 1776, did the Mason's walk out the door with the wisdom of virtues, leaving Vice to rule in high places? The odds were very low that I could follow the Mason path, my family was destroyed by vice 50 years ago. I grew up without a father as a child trying to avoid the pit.

Vice is rampant in all walks of life. Doing what is right when nobody is looking is the key. Look up the Masonic "Closing Charge". My personal belief is Liberalism is Society's Cancer.

Brother, its a secret. dang...? But the way this all was explained to me by fellow masons and 3 family past worshipful master masons. A 33rd(NOT 33 1/3) degree is more of political elevation, requiring appointment with sponsorship at state level.
@CoolestLife

Some jurisdictions may be. Ours is not political but it is a "selection" process.
@ScottishRiteMasons

the 33rd degree is an Honour bestowed on a man after years of service in the fraternity. It is not political. It's about service to the Rite and the community. Members are chosen from the Knight Commanders of the Court of Honor in a Scottish Rite Valley (local chapter). The elections are different from state to state, but all require the unanimous approval of the Supreme Council. New 33rd degree Scottish Rite Masons are elected every 2 years and the degree itself is conferred on many candidates in Washington DC. ~A 33rd degree Mason.
