This was greatly helpful for my 2014 Mustang V6. I had cleaned a 1998 Mustang V6 years ago, but had forgotten about this (in a different location under the engine now).

Paul, I'm glad the video could help! Be sure to watch my Throttle Body Cleaning Video and clean your Throttle Body too. It will improve your Mustang's performance and keep it running smooth. Thanks for the comment. - Stiles

Thanks! Just cleaned it. I have 58K miles on my 2013 GT and the fuel economy has been dropping off on the highway. This is one thing I thought of. Any thoughts?

Dan, clean the Throttle Body also. No fault codes . . . Probably don't have to mention to clean / replace the Air Filter. The Engine Runs ok? a sticky Brake Caliper? Automatic or Manual? If Automatic is it shifting into OD ok? Let me know how it goes! - Stiles

Thank you for sharing, came across your channel yesterday. On my 09 F150 I am seeing slight corrosion building up where the wires sit inside of the actual pigtail harness. It appears the plastic elbow housing on the harness was jostled during the last oil change. Would removing the negative battery cable and spraying the harness with contact cleaner be advisable? Also plan to add some dielectric grease as you pointed out in the video. I can’t find any videos regarding my specific harness disassembly. Thanks again for any feedback. Harness part number is WPT1241…if that helps.

JP, yes Contact Cleaner is the best to clean your Wires (no oily residue) prior to reapplying Electrical Tape or doing a Wire repair. I have a video (see link below) which shows Wire Splicing and how to carefully get into a Wiring Harness and fix a Wire. Let me know how it goes. - Stiles Three Wire Splices that take care of 98% of All Automotive Electrical Wiring Splices. kzitem.info/news/bejne/1m15mIOne6CYoaw

Eagle, Are you talking about the Electrical Connector on the Engine? If so, yes that should get a good cleaning and then apply a coat of dielectric grease to it. - Stiles

Is this P0112 code? What i got from reading the code is the intske air sensor the same thing as the mass airflos sensor right?
@StilesAutomotive

Alan, Yep, on the 2004 thru 2008 F-150 P0112 is the MAF Sensor, which includes an Air Temperature Sensor, you could also get P0102 if the MAF Sensor is bad. - Stiles

Can the senson work with 05-2010 mustang and will it proform better?

Shamari, they are different part numbers, the 2 Sensors are similar, but different. I would be surprised if they interchange and work. - Stiles

It is really not clear how dielectric grease endorsed to be applied on electrical connections. The word "dielectric" speaks for itself.

zhesty, it's a Silicone Grease, You want it on the O-ring (or Seal) and the outside. It keeps moisture out and makes the two Connectors easier to install and easier to remove in the future. There are some applications (like in this video, MAF Sensor) where you don't want the Grease on the Conducting Surfaces of the Connector. - Stiles

Is the Maf sensor in a 16 gt in the same location?

Ahmad, Yes, your Air Filter Box and Intake Ducting is different, but the Mass Air Flow Sensor is in almost the exact same location. And you would clean it in the same way, I show in the video. - Stiles
