Mass Effect by far has the most iconic credit roll of all the hundreds of games I've played over the years. The music fading into M4 Pt. 2 by Faunts as the Normandy flies into the horizon before the absolute legends that made this game possible get their names across our screen while we kick back and enjoy the music and the feeling of dealing a major blow to the initial assault of the Reapers. I remember when this game first came out, not knowing where the next game was going to take us but that the threat was still out there, this song just hit different and in a way that only this song could for the credits.

@@ThaneME2 ME2's ending is the same as ME3's. Both have stupid reasons behind the Reapers actions. ME2 also has the problem of destroying the Collecter base not mattering. It doesn't help in anyway in solving the Reaper threat. What it actually does is hit the reset button. The game ends the same way as the first game with Shepard still not knowing a way to stop the Reapers. Remember at the end of the first game Shepard said "the reapers are still out there and I'm going to find a way to stop them." Shepard doesn't even attempt at it. That should have been the story of ME2. It instead ingored,retconed and replaced everything with things that don't matter. The Collecters are just a surrogate for the Geth. Cerberus are a red herring that doesn't actually do anything and like I said before the ending makes it painfully obvious we're back at square one. Mass Effect 3 had nowhere to really go because of all the time Mass Effect 2 wasted. Mass Effect 3 made things worse via so much filler with unnecessary N7 missions and Cerberus padding the run time. We could have got a Batarian story arc and the conclusion to the Turrian/Korgan plot. The whole point was to get the Krogan to help but we never return to Palavan to do that. All because Cerberus kept getting in the way of the story. Instead of killing off the Batarians Cerberus should have been killed off.
@ThaneME2

@@spartanq7781 interesting points but to be fair the Cerberus story within the mass effect universe is an interesting one for me cos in ME1 u find their facilities with all their experiments, in ME2 u have no choice to work with them despite their dark background but overall both Shepard and Cerberus are just using each other for their own purpose and basically at the end of ME2 and the whole of ME3 Cerberus are what they always have been a dark, dangerous group that only care about themselves, I do agree that some other areas within the universe should've been addressed maybe this should've been the case for more DLCs and spin off games even away from Shepard just to get different points of view

The guitar riff is so sick and epic in this song. And the lyrics are so beautiful and foreshadowing. ME1 has one of the most awesome endings ever. The paragon/renegade and dialogue wheel system will always be appreciated and remembered. It made the trilogy so wholesome and good. The fact that you can choose your own storyline, decisions and outcomes is just so amazing. BioWare are truly the masters of RPGs. I can't wait for ME4. "I need you to recover cause I can't make it on my own!". Faunts is such an amazing band. I love M4 Part 1 and Das Malefitz as well. Here's hoping ME4 will be as legendary.

In the original game, the song and the credits were lined up, the credits went exactly as long as M4, Pt. 2, I mean there is a M4 Pt. 1 which is just music which they could of added at the end, but that means they would of had to pay to licence another soundtrack, which EA won't do because money, but least their not as greedy as Microsoft, who straight up didn't even bother renewing their soundtrack licences for the Halo re-releases. In the Legendary Edition, the additional credits result in this 3 minutes of complete silence. Kind of jarring not going to lie.
