I think Wrex naming a female Mordin is actually a higher honor than if he'd given the name to a male. 1. The krogan hold females in the absolute highest regard. Bakara was able to unite the disparate males in an effort to end the genophage once and for all. 2. With the genophage cured, females are what will rebuild the krogan species. Mordin Solus gave his life to give the krogan a chance to do that.

This is basically the Reapers fault. I was just playing the Noveria mission in ME1 and the Rachni queen stated that they brought war because their leaders voices were silenced one after the other and replaced with a sour yellow note. Sounds like they were being manipulated by something or someone (Reaper Indoctrination). Seems like all this was the cause of the Reapers to have the galaxy in a state of panic, making it easier for them to do their cycle. Which of course uplifting the Krogans to fight the indoctrinated rachni only slowed the Reapers plans. If the Reapers never used the Racni the Krogans would have never been used by the Citadel Council and Mordin would have never had to make such choices. Just something else to consider.
@timemonkey
9 жыл бұрын
Actually, the Leviathon DLC suggests the Rachni were used by the leviathons instead. Which makes sense given the Rachni Queen turns out to be immune to indoctrination, which means all of them would have been.
@Daioblis
9 жыл бұрын
+timemonkey The Leviathans had nothing to gain from the Rachni Wars, and it makes more sense for it to have been the Reapers, specifically Sovereign. The Noveria Queen was immune to indoctrination, yes, but I think it's because she outgrew her ancestor's weakness, ya know?
@ZeroCanalX
8 жыл бұрын
+Diablos Well, if the entire cycle was preapered for war, then they might have caused significant losses on Reapers at worst, total victory at best.
@Daioblis
8 жыл бұрын
+Slaaneshi Rubric Marine That's a huge exaggeration. At worst, they would've fallen in a few days. At best, they'd have destroyed a good quantity of Reapers. The Reapers had numbers _and_ strength on their side; they were literally space juggernauts. Destroying one is an achievement.
@timemonkey
8 жыл бұрын
+Diablos Yeah. One of the failures of the game is they actually under represent the power of the Reapers. For most of the game it actually seems like if the Council hadn't been idiots and had actually built up their fleets they might have been able to win. But the battle for Earth shows the truth, Shepard literally rallies the might of the galaxy for one battle and they don't even come close to winning, or even holding their own, it's just delay as long as possible.
@vedantdesai1

A human cured the genophage, made peace between the Geth and Quarians, and defeated the Reapers. I just love the series because how we Humans, even though we are young, new to the galaxy and have devastated our selves in the past... we still have never stopped progress, we have always looked up and beyond our horizons, where all other species thought there was a wall that ended the road, we humans broke down the wall and punched forward

Without fear there cannont be courage but when we stand as one it is our enemies who should be afraid of what we will achieve together. One man united the sentient races to fight a common enemy. One man accomplished what even the Prothean race (who were leagues more powerful than any of the current sentient races combined) could not. He made a Reaper feel genuine fear for the first time. Harbinger would not have chased Shepard the way he did if he was not afraid of him and what he was capable of.

@XxTheTrueDovakiinxX You can save him but only IF Wrex didn't survive ME1 and you do pretty much all renegade choices around Krogans.

those that are offworld have the genophage but that doesn't matter since the bulk of the krogan species is on tuchanka :)

To the writer who decided to drop in a homage to Tom Lehrer as Mordin faces explosive death: you're a smart cookie. Great stuff.

If only Mordin knew what was going to happen at the end of this game.. He wouldn't have thrown his life away :(
