Chooster, this video was 100% what I needed. I thought I could get the FEL on easily and after 2 attempts, I screwed it iup and was ticked. I slightly gurred-up the side on my hood. I went back to your video of reattaching the FEL and played it over and over to see what steps I was missing. I've got it now. In fact, got the FEL on the first attempt after it's been off the tractor for 8 or 9 months. Please realize, I went back to your video once more to make sure I remembered the steps that I missed prior. Big thumbs up. New Subscriber now! 👍🏽

This is freaking AWESOME!! Finally someone puts up a video I needed. I complained to AGCO no telling how many times for a helper video such as this. Thanks for helping. I may try it on mine tomorrow. I bought my gc1710 new in March 2015, and still have not been able to remove loader Backhoe yes, but not FEL. I may have requested this of you. If so, thanks. I have asked a bunch of people. Thanks and GOD Bless.

Thanks for the vid, man. I'm on my 3rd day with the GC1710, yesterday had a bear of a time reattaching the loader (took it off to mow).

Pond Acres, did you finally get the loader reattached? I went through the exact same issue a couple years ago when I took the FEL off to mow grass. I finally learned to reattach after several attempts. On one occasion I gurred-up my hood in one spot when the whole dang thing went somewhat sideways. I referred back to this video and realized what I was doing wrong. I take it gingerly now when moving the joystick side-to-side (controls lift & drop of the bucket). Once I have the have the FEL aligned in the top notches, then I will....ease the boom to lift up very slowly to align the holes to replace pins. Once pins are in.....it's all over and done. Yep, I went through some cane my 1st two tries. BTW, I ordered a step for my GC1710 and should have it this week. I had Mark modify it a bit. Later.

Wow man, timing, funny you should ask! Today I mowed with the massey for the first time this year (and the 3rd time altogether), so did the whole dance with the loader. Reattaching came easy actually, but where I had trouble this time was popping the loader off. It was just not happening, I ended up youtubing people doing it. This 60" deck is pretty sweet though, that thing chops through tall grass without a hickup whereas my garden tractor is coughing and choking in same. Curious about the mod you gonna have Mark do for his step. His quick attach for the backhoe has my interest, I was pushing him to build a backhoe rake thingie to go with it...really wanting something like that! Awesome to hear from you, my good man! I'm starting to weld, I'm gonna weld a craftsman plow from my garden tractor onto a ssqa plate I got off ebay. I'll make a video of it, so everybody could laugh at my ugly welds haha. But hopefully it will turn out good enough, so that I'll be using that instead of the rr snow edge come this winter. Stay healthy and happy, houndsman!

@@pondacres Wow, I have the 54 inch mower and you're right, it cuts what ever is in front of it. I mowed 5 hours straight yesterday to get all the cutting done before I reattached the FEL. Tomorrow I'm putting the BH on and then do a little digging and stump removing. Can't wait to see your video so I can laugh a bit. Hahaha, I can't weld one stinkin bit....at all. Funny, I was discussing getting welding gear today with a good friend. So, I'm gonna start welding too. Hey, we'll have a welding challenge, ha. Who can make the most grotesque welds while being very serious, haha. Okay, Pond Acres. Gotta get serious now. People actually read these comments, ha. I'll contact ya when I finally get a welder and stuff. Later

Thanks for these videos! I've been looking at the Kubota BX1870, Mahindra Max 24, and stumbled across the Massey Fergusons. The problem is that I am on a relatively small suburban lot (1/2 acre), however, I want something that can take a front end loader, but can still be used for mowing. Right now, the BX1870 is in the lead because of the 48" deck. Do you know what size decks are offered with the GC1705? I'm currently using a John Deere x310 with 42" deck and I could see going to a 48" deck, but a 54" deck might be a stretch.

I looked at the same Kubota you are as well and it was actually a little bit more money then the Massey , also has only 18 hp (15 pto ) , the 54 inch deck works really nice and cuts better then you would think , the hood setup and engine setup are nicer plus the hydrulics are quicker . I'd check out a Massey before you buy anything then compare them

+chooster5000 also I only get to mow basically what you see on video which is maybe 3/4 of an acre , the rest it for horses

Enjoy Your videos! After researching the sub compacts am choosing the Massey, but with the PTO mower, Don't know what weather is like were u live, but I'm in mtns. in Montana & would be using it to dig out the 3 - 4 ft. drifts that come up when the very high winds I get come up, I can have road plowed down to dirt & overnight snow gets to high to plow. Any experience with snow or input on the loader? Thx a lot!

Bull Mtn. Billy hey I've moved snow with this machine and had no issues with it so far , I'd suggest taking the deck off for more clearance and putting weight on the rear . As far as the loader it has it's limits , I've dug into a good pile of sand and horse crap and able to make the relief valve squeal but tilt the bucket back and forth to break free and it's fine , for the size it does a good job and now that I hooked a plow into my bucket it's sweet for plowing snow, can pile the snow about 8 foot tall if needed , I'll have to get a video on my setup

Would like to see that setup. I live pretty far back on 40 acres up here, haven't left in over 2 months now. My main concern was the weight & digging out the big 4 ft. drifts, so sounds from your input that it would work for that. I made a 8 ft. plow for my truck, but when snow is that high can't get thru it. I've already researched 4 aggressive chains for the 1705. Plan on welding up my own loader & PTO attachments. I could go on & on a about this stuff! Really appreciate your input chooster5000! Thx again!

Bull Mtn. Billy front bucket is not quick attach, you have to remove the 4 pins which I don't think takes very long
