Not opposed to high stakes but not many vloggers play the common man’s game of 1/3 or 2/5. Mariano, Rampage, Brad, Andrew, Jaman, Lex, Johnny all playing 5/10 and up, but I can’t relate to the opponents as our players play so different

I think one your deep stacked opponents was Kia (he and I got into a massive hand earlier last year at Orange City during a 50/100 private game that Nick was running). Dude in the black shirt perhaps? Also, if you want some inside info on some of those 5/10 and bigger regs at OC feel free to hmu; I have a plethora of experience playing those games with them you might find very useful!

2 months, probably 10-15 buy ins. Sessions that were not losses would lose a buy in like instantly first hand, spend hours trying just to get back to even and if lucky made like .25 of a buy-in otherwise stay buried. I just told my self those months are over, we are starting this month with a clean slate and then I won 8 sessions in a row for approximately 12 buy-in in 4 weeks.
@boojay7076

@@kylefischl6841 Thanks man I appreciate the feedback! I'm hoping this month is a lot better than last month! It's tough mentally going in knowing you have to recover 13 buyins to get back , worst thing is the times I got lucky set over set the guy was only sitting with $100 behind lol, so it's almost if I get unlucky in the spots I got lucky on top of losing 13 buyins, or someone calls my 4bet with 39 suited vs my AA and gets it in with flopped flush draw and hits river, or I have QQ / KK vs AA on low board after just calling 4bet in position, flush over flush, set over set, straight vs better straight, it's been brutal... I made a few small mistakes that might have costed me a few hundred overall but It's tough to play perfect poker when you're running like garbage!

Hey Kyle. I encourage you not to get caught up in the stakes arms race (proof by Brad Owen at Lodge this past week). Your financial blood on the felt costs your viewers nothing, but you a lot. If your EV in the $5/5/10 game is higher than in the $5/5 game, or you think it could be with work, great. But please don't play out of your depth just so your viewers can see pots with more zeros in them.

Kyle that second hand looked very familiar at the beginning. You opponent has A2, A4, A9 and A10 for value, sometimes 89, 9 10. It was a seven way pot. Also AQ might play this way with one club to block the nuts flush. Had to call unless he is 60 and drinking coffee. The hand reminded me of one I played years ago, I had K8c in the bb limped multi way. Flop was 8h 4c 2c. I lead big, guy in utg said why so big, I said because yall will call. He folded three calls including the sb. Turn was Ac, I bet 45% one call one fold, sb tanks, calls. River As. I lead 80% late position tanks forever folds, sb thinks then raises. He had a big chip hidden and I thought he had just a little behind so I reraise to put him in, he hesitates says "whatever, I call" and turns over 35 c for the straight flush and I realize he had me covered, saved a quarter of my stack by him not saying all in. Seeing your 35c in the blind there and the two club board reminded me of that. Never feared the boat, pretty certain late position folded an A for trips, later said AJ but who knows. I decided to play short for a few hands while I got my head right and did make a point to ask the sb player to put his big chips in front not at the bottom of his stack. Added on, got even and up a tiny bit and decided to call it, just couldn't shake the "feelings". Really you did bet value with 5 high flush into a family pot. All of the middling suited connectors could be in play, might fold out some better hands with a jam but you are mostly beat by a jam here unless it's a nut flush blocker jam. Or someone way overplaying with minimal if any fold equity. I like the table you're on.

I don’t understand the reason behind leaving. You bought into the 2/5 game for $700. You ran that up and took it to the bigger game before You got down to $538 and wanted to leave. Chip and a chance. Can’t see it as you lost money because you didn’t lose as much as you’re advertising that you did. You were only in for $700 you got up and left after losing $168. 😐 why gamble and play if as soon as you lose a little you cash out and leave. This is why I feel your content isn’t as good as some other players/vloggers. We all know you’re making enough off these videos and subscribers to pay for all you buy ins you might as well play

Was in for 1600. had to top off as the first massive hand (KJcc) was like 1k the other direction. Was down 1100 after the AK hand and just knew I had enough content and didn't feel like playing anymore.

That's why you shouldn't be scared to 3 bet KJcc if you want to play it. If you get 4-bet you can fold and chances are 83 would be out of there.

Also, $400 bluff into a $1300+ pot isn't going to get it done. Polarize yourself and jam because all that $400 does is give a good price for even an 8 to call.
@ryansapp7395

I’d consider shipping it in as a bluff on the KsJx hand. River is a J, and his hand looks like a bare Q more than a flush to me. River seemed more like a block bet. AK should be more in your range than his etc.
@kylefischl6841
Жыл бұрын
He did have 20k in his stack. Not sure 1k on top bluff would scare him specifically. But you are right. In general and at a lower stakes game I probably would have bluffed as just the Ks is such a key blocker to many nutted hands. That's the draw back of buying in short.

If your poker bankroll is over 20k, step up. At that game, a 2k buy in will be short stacked. You'd only have 10 buy ins. Aggressive. But if you can find Aggressive players deep stacked, you get wrecked. Or rewarded. So,IF YOU HAVE THE BANK ROLL, go for it. If not, play $1-3 or $2-5. Here in Texas, even $1-2 games can have players with 10k stacks at the end of the night in match the stack games.
