Alvin is such a cutie and I love his handwriting so much. Now I know he's the one writing all those swatches! haha xD I hope to visit Atlas in person someday! I need to get myself a lot of flush and cleaning supplies...and store them all in a nice cute tote and spot! LOL Thanks for sharing your huge haul, MShaun! (also, for the Pilot inks haha: fu-yoo-sho-gu-n (not gun, but almost like goon) XD you got this!)

I love Ferris Wheel inks. I buy from Goulet, Pen Chalet and Vaness mostly. Vanness has bigger samples, so I get from them now. I have a Montverde Ritma and it really writes nice. Great haul!

That’s a very nice haul for starters. Kaweco makes amazing pens at an affordable price. Definitely checkout Lamy and Pelikan as well (2 German brands). Kaweco‘s Perkeo and Kaküno are both school fountain pens. Most people from abroad do not know that fountain pens are mandatory for German elementary school kids. Pencils for math, fountain pens for the rest. So basically every brand that makes expensive pens will also make a version for school kids. If you’re looking for some really good inexpensive and refillable fountain pens that you can carry with you, have a look at the Platinum Preppy. They write really well, cost around 5€ and you can even convert them to an eyedropper system.

Fellow May baby here!! Green is also my most favorite color! I never thought about it having to do with being an earth sign, & having Emerald as our birth stone 😅 but hey, it makes so much sense!! Love the video! I too have recently been trying to find my way through the rabbit hole that is the fountain pen world. But I must say, it’s been nothing but fun & excitement since taking the dive! I’ve always been obsessed with stationary and paper things so, after stumbling upon goulet pens KZitem channel, it was over for me 🤣🤣 I look forward to watching you along your fountain pen journey! Much love 💗☺️

I can highly recommend Diamine’s Oxblood (or the slightly more purple Writer’s Blood). They’re such rich and deep reds that they’re my go-tos if I don’t know what to ink my pen with. It is my everyday color. Also a note on pen flush-you’ll find that MOST of the time, good ol’ water will be just fine, but it will be handy when you’re switching out shimmer ink colors because the shimmer particulates can be a little stubborn. Those particulates can also clog nibs so use them in your broader nibs and wetter writing pens and put them in a pen you’ll be writing with often (so they don’t get a chance to dry out!) I say all this because I found shimmer inks frustrating when I first tried them because I tried them in my fine pens and didn’t know why my pens weren’t writing well haha. (I’m sorry if you know all of this already! I got the impression from your intro that you’ve just started out in the fountain pen hobby)

Thanks for the advice! I am just starting out. I want to adventure out to more luxury pens but I’m sticking to these for now. Until I learn proper care. I really appreciate the advice!

I love the Kaweco Student fountain pens. They are so smooth & juicy! Btw, did you know Kaweco have COLORFUL converters... 🫣❤?! I bought matching converters to each of my student FP, but I'm a hardcore Kaweco fan fanatic (I also got the Soul & the Jazz... Lol...) E-N-J-O-Y!!!
