I found a gold high school graduation ring but much smaller because it was a woman’s size and yes, found her on Facebook, she lost her ring after graduation in 1976 but so excited to get it back! I found it metal detecting at a historic park by a elementary school. Great video my friend!

Hi Quin, I did some research tonight and was able to locate the owner of your class ring. I collect Civil War tokens and have a subscription to Ancestry that I normally use to research merchants from that era. Ancestry is not great for researching living individuals as more recent census data has not been released yet, but I found two candidates in the Bethesda Chevy Chase HS 1970 year book with the initials R. Z. I did some further research on their full names and was able to positively identify your class ring owner, Robert T. Zung. He still lives in Chevy Chase, MD and celebrates his 70th birthday in 5 weeks. What a birthday surprise he’s gonna have! I will send you an email with his contact information.

Quin I have been hunting for about 50 yrs, now(i am 84 and can still put in a pretty good day) the closer to the 1900 and lower the more silver you will find I just hunted a house built in 1958 only around 6 yrs. to deposit silver coins I have went over it 3 times about 3 weeks apart first hunt the coins was in 2000,the second hunt they began to drop into the 1989 to 99 the 3rd they dropped to 1968 now i will start the really boring hunt I will remove all the trash, and the 5th time I hunt it I should find silver probably not to much ,try to figure how all this is stacked in the ground there is a lot of junk above the silver and most never stop sinking deeper , have dug arrow heads up to 6ft. deep ,I am in Fl. they sink pretty deep here KEEP ON DIGGIN!

That's exactly how my yard is. Pennies from 1960-1982, and clad coins from 1965-1996. Not a single nickel found. I did find 4 wheaties (1938, 1942, 1946, 1948) all within a 3 foot diameter. Not sure what happened there. My greatest yard finds are a Sterling silver ring and a parking token from 1900 worth about $15-$20. That ring you found is crazy awesome. I'd probly flip out to find real gold.

Hey Ryan. I’ve been watching and enjoying your videos for a while, and I live not too far away from you in Sarnia, Ontario. I don’t know if you are still looking for albums to replace your Canadian coins, but if you are, I would highly recommend the Lighthouse Vista Nature coin albums. I use the entire set from the pennies to the toonies to store my Canadian coins as I am trying, to the best of my ability, to get every type of Canadian coin ever made.

Hey Mikle, thank you for watching and commenting! Sorry I didn't get back to your previous comments, life has been pretty hectic lately! So I actually just recently went through the process of transferring all of my Canadian coins into more proper albums and I decided to go with Whitmans folders. Thank you for the suggestion though! I checked those albums out because I had never heard of them before, and they definitely look nice! Maybe someday I will end up upgrading to them
