I love them. They do pretty well in the mud but don't self-clean as much as I'd like. Amazing in the rain & they grip rocks like crazy. I popped 3 tires from my previous set and the Duratracs have held up without any problems. I have 5k miles on them. Even tread ware and no road noise. I wheel a few times a month DD my rig. At this rate I imagine I can get at least 3-4 years out of them (~35k miles). They have been getting me through places KM2's on equally equiped Jeeps couldn't go.

I have the MBRP Off-road exhaust and love it. The exhaust note is throaty (for a V6, anyways) and is high-clearance. The kit is pricey, however. Some guys get a Dynamax muffler and splice it into their stock exhaust and it sounds good, too. About 1/3rd the price.

I have Duratracs on my 2012 JK and I have 31,00 miles on them and they look almost new. One thing I do is rotate the tires with every oil change (5000 mimes), therein lies the secret. plenty of off roading, mostly mud, and they are a bit noisy on the highway. Nice video, as usual!!!

+Bob Sticco Thanks man! My Duratracs wore pretty bad because I was too hard on them from wheeling with open diffs. All that tire spin sliced and chunked the tires, so they wore a lot faster than I hoped.

So I'm looking into a superlift for 1700, figure the stock skid plates, need a regear, 3.21 just does nothing for me, 4.10 or 4.55, saving my pennies, then a couple of trips to 4×4 land or someplace in KC, fort scott just doesn't seem to have any place for lifts

How do you like the Duratrac's? Im looking for new tires on my 2002 TJ. Do you find the 2ply sidewall a problem? How many miles do you have on them/how long do you think they will last? Thanks

2018 JK sport with cheapo 2.5" lift running 35's with stock coil bumper stops, pretty sure crawling would get into the fenders, priced a metal cloak 3.5" good lift but 3200 is out of my reach since I'm married and I'm pretty sure State farm won't be fixing anything

Why does the front wheels jar like they do?is it because of the play in tie-rod ends or steering rack?

The axles have U-Joints. A CV joint like RCV makes doesn't bind at extreme angles.

@roostertails250 Kansas Rocks doesn't have camping but there are site close by. Google "Kansas Rocks Rec Park" for info. There is also Southern Missouri Off Road Ranch that offers camping. A group uf us in KC are in a similar situation- Moab is just too expensive to go to.

Hi, I'm one of the KRRP board members. We do have camping. It is primative though. If you want to camp, please contact us via the website. We should be able to set something up. If you want showers and electricty we can refer you to a couple of places.

Was that white JKU with the Pitbull Rockers more modified, or was a lot of its success due to the Rockers? Did you guys notice much performance difference between the various different tires you were running?
@Berserkeroffroad
9 жыл бұрын
firstdaddy Each rig definitely had strengths and weaknesses. The white JKU was better at crawling but lacked horsepower for hill climbs. There was a substantial difference between the tires and each driver was aware of how to best use what they had.
