I just had hot pot for the first time this past weekend and I chose the seafood option and a spicy broth in honor of Mike. God damn it was SO GOOD. And the noodles at the end soaked up all that broth goodness

Mike is so expressive and genuine you almost feel like you are sharing the meal with him. I’m always impressed with how many ways Mike finds to describe how good something tastes rather than just “delicious” and “amazing” I also appreciate the fact that when he tastes something good he doesn’t do the over the top moaning and groaning that many “foodies” are guilty of.

damn you Mikey! 😭 abalone is like royal food in Seoul and you had so much of it. Also it's better to scoop out the rice into a separate bowl in the beginning, put the hot water in the original pot and close the lid and come back to it later. Makes sure the water infuses better when the pot is still hot

Hi Mike. Thank you for uploading this video. I only watched it over a dozen times, but who's counting? I never had grilled Korean Abalone or Mackerel, but watching you eat them, I will take your word that they were so good you almost had a meltdown. You should change the title from Massive Korean Seafood Hotpot to Abalone & Mackerel Meltdown in Jeju Island. You will definitely get more hits! Keep up the great work Mike. Abalone is now critically endangered from over-fishing and is illegal to eat in some places so although that looks great, we should avoid it for the time being.
