I was an excavating contractor also. When faced with the problem like this we would carefully uncover the power lines from the house past the tree and roll them up. Complete the tree removal and re dig in the service. Here where I live they will not do underground splicing. So any damages to the lines means a whole new service line. If you dig through power lines without having contacted the power company you better have good insurance.
