I don't know , Ken . I think you did just fine , myself . I figure , it's your truck , you do what you want with it . There's plenty of channels of folks doing exact & original restorations of vehicles out there . Personally speaking , I like when someone thinks outside the box . You , my friend , are WAY outside the box , & I Appreciate that about you . That baby is a long , lean , V12 Rat-rod machine ! I don't see those any day , unless I watch your channel . Dan at DD Speed Shop gets the same "static" . He intentionally does stuff , just to get their goats . Lol . I forgot about the transmission needing air pressure to shift , until you mentioned it . An air horn will be a nice touch too . I hope it's one of those train trumpets , that will wake them up ! It's your thing , do what you want to it . Besides , that's a fair bit more than those parts were doing by themselves . They seem quite happy with the attention they are getting now . I sure do appreciate you , Ken , just the way you are !

I've learned a few things about wiring that I hope you find helpful... It doesn't matter if you use crimp connectors or not, but if you do, don't crimp them, solder them... And use shrink tube. When you're laying out your electrical, begin as you suggested by installing all of your components first, and then run all of your same- gauge positives together... Lightly bundled in electrical tape every 8 or 12 inches. Finish with plastic Auto conduit. It doesn't matter if you run all of your grounds locally, to the component, or strategically placed throughout the Body Work, or both (both is good). Do not bundle your positives with your negatives. Any component requiring a substantial ground, should be grounded to the battery. Every component should have its own circuit, and every circuit should have its own fuse... On a fuse terminal block or in-line. Good luck Ken. Have a substantially better 2024😉👍 We're all pulling for you !!
@1963impala2drWaylonWire

thank you. good tip about not bundling the negatives with the positives.. i mostly ground at the component to the frame or its mount. I don't like butt connectors.there is not a single one in that truck. i soldered and heat shrinked every single connection. thank you very much for the good info!

It's none of my business but it would take just one spark or metal shard in your eye to ruin your day.
