Polarity of frets? Bullshit. Eric Johnson is good player, but not a god with super powers. And it is impossible for electrons to move faster in one direction than another.

Of course it's bullshit. But as soon as you add the name 'Eric Johnson' to any bullshit, it becomes gospel for everyone else who isn't smart enough to see that the Emperor isn't wearing any clothes. Think of all those Strats, from Richie Blackmore's, to Hank Marvin's, to Buddy's, to Jimi's, to Eric's 'Blackie', that didn't have this fret job. Imagine how much better they could have sounded. ;)

In order to move electrons you need current so immediately this is at lest silly..Anyhow i have heard such crazy stories for 30 years but this one is among top 10 for sure , i mean what is next? He wipe his guitar with virgin tears that She cray out during fool moon? Maybe put rabbit foot in his ass for special bending, well dam it is Eric Johnson a boy from Texas that was born when comet flow through the sky and caw were cawing 3 times in a row ☺...Dam Eric Johnson ☺

@@greanmonstamash Yeah. These myths have been a part of rock folklore since the beginning. They create interest and flavor at zero cost. Some are so hilarious and yet people fall for them. Harmless when no profit is attached. The shame is, in Hifi, they shift 30k + systems based on perception-bias and BRAZEN bullsh!t. I started reading the magazines/articles for entertainment. I used to secretly test lots of people in studios and it's AMAZING how you can manipulate people.

It has been said- if you wear pink bunny slippers with the black eyes staring sappily up at you , and stand on one foot, the energizer 9volt batteries emit a sonic wispy magical tone - gray mouse boots optional- they make it sound like an aluminum anodized Jazzmaster pickguard nuance -almost a sassafras 54’ sonic frequency

I often heard such a bullshit concerning the "Eric Johnson fret job" from hifi guys who claim that loudspeaker cable "sounds" (no it does not, but it can be too thin), but in double blinded tests all people who claim they can separate theses cables failed since decades. The industry has never presented a single person who can do this. There are dozens, if not hundeds of these non-scientific marketing lies (magnetisation of cds for example). I would bet a really high sumn that Eric (who is without a doubt a great and very sensitive player) could not decide it in a double blinded test. Because this thing with the electrons is bullshit. And this was NOT a double blinded test! Although, it's a great video and you concern much more viewers! Thumb up ... I really like that you glue the frets in, I hate frets which change their position and think this is amateurish not to glue them in.

You can fill them with superglue and sawdust. I leave them in; I like the way they look. It shows how much the guitar has been played.

@@richardmccurdy9333 I like seeing the signs of age and use on instruments, furniture and vehicles but my first guitar bought in 1970 ended up with scallops so deep that I had to be careful how hard I pushed down on the strings to keep notes from being too sharp.
