Great video. I found it so much easier to set up and use the Beetle Bits with this tutorial. The instructions that come with the system can be confusing!

Watching this video is like watching my son. Explain an iPhone to his grandparents. Well done I’m very impressed with the system and your ability to explain it.

Thank you. The Flying Beetle Cutter is both left and right-handed. Simply rotate the flying beetle 180 degrees and score.

What is the maximum length of cut that can be made? I'm looking to cut 1st surface mirror in a trapezoid pattern for building kaleidoscopes.

How do you know if you need to replace the cutting head?

When the cutting head starts skipping, you would want to change it.

To cut an equilateral 3 inch triangle do you need to cut the strip you use smaller than 3 inches?
@creatorsbrand
6 ай бұрын
To get an exactly 3” equilateral triangle you would have to cut a 2.58” strip, so I would align the glass to the 2.5 mark and then go about one tick above it.

Hello, any tips on cutting front surface mirrors? Specifically snapping. I am not sure if I am not scoring it correctly or what but when AI go to snap, the whole mirror cracks. I am cutting strips ~10" long and 1.25" wide. Thx

@@7elegrama yes I spoke to them and they gave me a bunch of tips. Once I started using running plyers it was pretty easy.

How narrow could the strips be? 1/4” possibly?

Yes, I would recommend doing several 1/4" strips and then splitting those in half to run them.

Just purchased the Beetle Bits system and noticed that the cutter device is spring loaded. In watching your video, it does not appear your cutter is spring loaded. When I slide my cutter down towards the ruler, it’s not stable. What am I missing? Thanks for your help
@creatorsbrand

At 4:13 in the video, you can see the Flying Beetle is spring-loaded. You can make adjustments to the set screw using the provided Allen wrench. Make sure that you have a firm grip on the beetle body while pressing down on the button. (Just like holding a mouse for a computer) If this doesn't help you can always give us a call so we can explain it more in depth.
