Please follow a pattern on the cymbals... sometimes you are going 123, then 421 then 625... when recording Lars always go the same cymbals for similar parts... It allows him to make a progression, if the guitar is going from a low note to a higher note, he can follow hitting cymbals from bigger to smaller. Drummers should pay more attention not only playing but listening so they can compose better.

Nick Mason's part is just spot on LMAO, especially the "double stroke-ish" bass drum and the hi-hat between the fills. And great idea to put The End on Ringo's part. Honestly the two's part is pretty exchangeable IMO, with Nick's contain a spin of Sheep or Set The Controls while Ringo's contain a spin of Hello Goodbye or Don't Let Me Down. Neil's part is pretty good, but maybe you could throw some herta fill there.

You could easily replace the Bernard Purdie part with Jeff Porcaro tho, as he would basically play the same "in the pocket" pattern. The same goes for Gene Hoglan and Richard Christy. Their parts would be indistinguishable.
@carlolaison

I haven't listened enough to Porcaro to know, but I think you would be able to tell the difference between hoglan and christy. In this case I just extended the scavenger of human sorrow intro, so it would be a big difference to what I would play for hoglan

It sounds like you are miming playing guitar over the master track. No hate, just confused. Why show yourself playing at all if you're just overdubbing it anyway? And if you're overdubbing, why exclude the bass track? If you included it it was too quiet to hear. Good video otherwise
@carlolaison
6 ай бұрын
I mime on guitar in most of my videos when there's a break on the drums. It's just to keep peoples attention. I'm not that good on guitar and the original tone is probably better, so I just mime. In the future I might record it, but for now I think it's better than a black screen or me sitting around
@anonymousrabbit3519
6 ай бұрын
@@carlolaison I wouldn't underestimate the value of genuine guitar work in your videos! You should definitely try recording the part yourself next time.
