This is fantastic! Exactly the kind of chess opening analysis I like. Explaining why moves are usually chosen and the potential consequences to playing other moves which may seem logical. So many chess videos I watch just seem to brush past the analysis part and say "people usually play this" but they don't show why and I learn nothing and feel like I'm supposed to just memorize everything. This has helped me learn to think like a chess player rather than just a memorization robot. Thank you so much!

From my memory, Sicilian defense was one of the most offensive defense. Susan showed us that it is very dangerous to use this opening if you do not know the right moves. You may lose the game very fast.. Thank you Susan. This was VERY instructive.

Cautionary tales of the Sicilian defense! The thing is, I always play 2. ...NC6, which avoids a lot of the complications we just witnessed. But this is a real good lesson in how to identify and attack weaknesses- I especially enjoyed the game with the smothered mate threat. I wouldn't have found that on my own, but maybe now I will!

In that case, white Bishop falls back on d2 square, saving itself from being recaptured, blocking the check and attacking the black Queen on a5. If the black Queen moves away, Nc7+ follows taking the black Rook and making the black King lose its ability to castle. In short, black ends up in a worse position.

Mega Star of chess, Super grand master, einstein of chess.......call what you may, words are not enough to describe the genius of bobby fischer in this life. Fischer rejecting the title retaining match against Anatoly karpov has pained the hearts of all his fans even today though bobby himself never regretted. Bobby fischer giving up chess at his pinnacle has made the chess world bankrupt of a great talent. This is the only blunder he made though never on chess board but in life. we love you bobby forever. in spirit you are always with us. your games are in this world for all of us to cherish for generations together. you are the very reason for our existance in chess. Though you are no more, we are still learning from you through your games. god takes them away young whom he loves the most....you are foremost among them.
