I like the timer you put on screen. It tells us what’s coming up in the video. Very useful! Thanks for the important basic lessons!

I remember hearing a story from someone I forget, who was a minimalist techno producer, and they were talking about how they spent almost 20 hours just creating a kick drum sound. For one song lol. Sometimes people do not always realize the amount of behind the scenes work that goes into the music that eventually reaches your ears.

@@AnalogKitchen Have you ever thought of using a spectrum analysis tool to analyze the waveforms of music(single sounds, or an entire track even)? I am sure you don't need to for the music...yet the idea is really awesome. Also, that is the basis for alot of VisualFX of course. Maybe that is the only way I can convert you to a digital heathen lol.

I have just had an idea, i might be wrong since i didn't try it, but what if you put modulation to the pitch of another oscillator layered on the model d for the kick. Modulate it like it is starting at the fundamental freq and going up to a high pitch and then back to the fundamental. It could give the kick more body maybe? By the way i really like your channel! Keep it up!

MATE! Absolutely SPOT ON! From one Old Skooler to another, I come from way back lol 1991/2 I got my first set of decks and was messin with Techno, Breaks and Jungle until around 2009 when I sold up and moved to China. Past 4 years I got bored and decided to take a punt and got me some synths Model D, Pro-1, a TD-3, a TR8 drum machine and just recently an MPC One to sequence stuff through. I am having a bit of difficulty though trying to find the right tutorials on KZitem, until I found Analogue Kitchen! I for one would absolutely love it if you could do something about how you set stuff up, routing etc and how you use the MPC to trigger the Model D etc. I know it has something to do with "Song Mode" ... That would be the best mate...

Never did use a mouse to do this. Especially since the trick is to find sweet spots on synthesizers. 😉

@@OperculumAudio If you are not capable of dropping the money to create an analog setup, or a hybrid daw/analog setup...you can definitely find quite a bit of free(or free ish) software to produce music. The DAW called Reaper is kinda free, sorta. Then you can use .vst and .soundfont files to create music with samplers and digital synths. Even some of the industry standard digital(or software) synths are not necessarily better than analog synths...they are different. Even something like Serum cannot exactly be compared to a really good piece of hardware that is basically just going straight into a soundboard.

@@py_a_thon Thanks Python, I produce in FL Studio and own pretty much every major Vst Synth known to man lol. I appreciate the help! I have a video on my YT channel of me producing recently if youre bored and want to see what mischief I get up to in the DAW :P
