Thanks Mats. I am doing my first rotisserie cook on the MB1050 and discovered the issue. Temporarily loosened the flange! I appreciate the tip!

How thick is the body of the MB grill? Shouldn’t that act as a spacer or washer for this problem?

Got rotisserie today, had to remove some metal also for it to turn freely. Maybe 1/32" with file did the trick.

Just cut an 1/8 off the bottom of the adapter

why not just a) extend the rod through the hole and into the motor (no extender part or screw), or b) not use the screw at all?

Just don't tightening it too tight. I started off with it too tight and I loosened the bolt just a little until it turned smoothly.

Thanks Michael, Yes, that will work most of the times. I have seen some comments on furums that the adapter can either unscrew itself or tighten itself, depending on direction the motor decides to rotate. I have notices that the adapter can hook on to the flensh due to the rough surface on the adapter and the the very small sharp edge inside the flensh from the tube welding, I guess the alignment of the motor to the spit rod can make things better or worse. I have four rotisseries in stock and all of them have a to long adapter. So when I file them down I also file and sandpaper the surface of the adapter to a smoother the finish. /Mats
