If they make a 30L expandable or a 35l version, it’ll be the best bag on the market. I can’t believe they don’t have a smaller version of this yet.

AI have watched almost all your travel Pack videos and it seems like from 40 to 46 l the bags just suck I travel a lot, a lot always on the go in a different country. And no one has unified what real frequent travelers need. The Pkdt Bag is close but fails in a few aspects. All these bags costing almost 400 bucks are not worth the cash They just are not. The constant theme is failures I'm functionality. And lack of needed features. It's FRUSTRATING.

I was thinking of looking into getting a bag something like this with a lot of space. But I wondered, how do I find something that would fit my size as a smaller person. Bcuz I feel like looking from a video might not really give me a good way to see if it would fit well wearing it. Especially seeing someone else as a different size wearing it. Also, if a bigger bag like this one I liked. Could the straps be adjusted to fit my size more properly? Does anyone else have this issue/ concern?

The bag looks awesome, but I do think they missed the mark on the size. 45 l is a legitimate size, but not if it's the only size you offer. I think they should have started with a 35 l. Or a 40 that compresses into 35. I would have bought it.

This bag looks great, but it’s too big. At 45L an internationally rated overhead hard case roller just makes more sense, I’d rather have a 30L expandable to 35L to go with my roller or just big enough as a solo weekender. But at 45L if you pack that thing it’s going to be really heavy and make you slow and sweaty.

The bag looks awesome, but I am not sure what I would do with 45 liters. I would end up with half a bag empty. Even for a 1 month long trip, it would be too big. I would end up over packing just because I have so much space, jajajaja.

Globerider vs. Aer Travel Pack 3? I ordered an Aer, but am having some second thoughts. I need the biggest bag I can carry on US/Europe. I'm 6'6" and 280#, so my clothes are a lot bigger than most. Need a laptop sleeve and an external pocket or two. Don't need a lot of other organization. Build quality and material quality are important. My regular current carry on is a Red Oxx Airboss, which packs out perfectly for me but want to try a single backpack for a trip to Europe. I'm not 100% sold on the Aer yet for a few reasons, primarily that it's going to be too small.

@@eladbari It's for sure not the most comfortable bag. I'm about to take my first trip with the GlobeRider and can already tell the comfort difference is night and day. That being said, the Peak is still my pick for protecting gear. If I had to keep it on my back for long periods of time though I'd be looking for a different bag altogether. Maybe something from Shimoda.

@@rockchalkbach Man, I thought I almost found the best backpack with that Matador Seg 45, but it's shoulder pads are also not so padded, and the size goes over the carry on size. It could've been great keeping order. The tortuga for now feels like one that will support heavy gear (planning on 3 camera bodies + Super8), yet the bag itself is 4.5lbs so I'm gonna check I'll check Shomonda. I usually don't like camera backpacks cause they don't give space to any gear other than cameras and lenses...

I'm sad to say that I wont be buying this bag and I love Matador. I have a lot of their products and multiple bags from them. They're my go to and my ultimate favorite travel gear company. Unfortunately, for a security conscious, airline, train, etc traveler this misses the mark in so many ways. It doesn't fit as a carry on (and why doesn't it? like taking it down by 2 inches was so much to ask), it doesn't have good security, the back panel and straps will be super hot compared to other back systems on the market. I'd have also liked more straps on the inside but I do like the shoe compartment and the bungee type strap that is on the inside. I'm honestly sad that I don't want this bag. For me, I just want a really savvy, world traveler, ultra light bag. I have spent hundreds on soo many of my travel bags but the price of this bag is almost double what it should be priced at. I'd need a better bag and a much better justification to pay more than $200 for that bag. That's just my opinion and to each their own but it just isn't for me and i soooo wanted it to be. Thank you for reviewing this, Chase. I always appreciate your opinions. And hey, maybe their next travel bag will be the best bag ever.

I just goat my Matador Seg 42 L. You can definitely feel the quality and very invested way progressive thought in the craft , design and textile ... It ismade so well. I goat the Seg cos i loved the built in cubes design but its lacking some backpack comforts of back hips and shoulders support if you want it to be versatile as a backpack too and not just a mash . i wish they would have combined. But it fited even a big tent in the back. Also there other smaller products are very hi end and people love then i can tell. Though... I wish it was a little les army style but you can look at it from a minimalist perspective as close to perfect designs

Thanks for sharing. I only saw their Matador SEG45 Travel Pack. Never knew there was a 42L model. I don't like to stack things on top of each other as it becomes a mess, so this segment method looks great. Although the new model goes over the carry-on size, and also this (unavailable) 42L version. And you also say it has no form, so it's a bit of a problem. Wonder how Matador's shoulder straps are if you carry heavy camera gear. Laptop compartment seems to have no cushioning too... The quest continues....but Matador was almost there...

Such a cool bag! I’m looking for a new bag to backpack/train hop Europe this summer and this might be a good option. Would love to see/know how many packing cubes fit in this one. I plan on taking my small camera setup (body plus 1 maybe 2 lenses). I think this would be a good addition to your bag reviews since I feel like a lot of people still carry a small camera setup but don’t want to just throw it in on top of a bag like this one. Either way, love this video and the cannel! Can’t wait to buy my next bag!
